Introducing Create Shift for efficient scheduling | Zoho Workerly



Creating shifts just got a lot easier with the new Create Shift feature. This feature simplifies shift management by integrating this option directly into the Temps Roster View, Jobs Roster View, and global creation. This enhancement not only reduces navigation but also makes the shift creation process more intuitive and user-friendly.

Core Use Case and Pain Point

Previously, managing shifts required users to filter by job before creating a shift and navigate through multiple tabs and steps, which could be time-consuming and cumbersome. This often led to delays and errors, impacting overall efficiency. Now, with the enhanced feature, users can choose the job directly within the create shift pop-up, eliminating the need for prior filtering and significantly speeding up the process.

Managing Multiple Client Accounts

Agents at a busy staffing agency oversee numerous client accounts. They often struggle to navigate through various filters and tabs just to set up a single shift. Creating Shift

To create a shift:

  1. Go to the Create Menu and select Shifts.



  2. Fill in the Details. Enter the client name, job name, temp name, date, and specify if the shift is for all day or a specific time. You can choose temps from the suggested list or perform an advanced search to find the right temps.



  3. Click Publish & Notify, once the details are filled in.
Note:
The interface adapts based on whether you select a temp or job first, ensuring a smooth and intuitive experience.

Creating Shifts from the Roster Views

You can also create shifts directly from the Temps Roster View and Jobs Roster View, providing additional convenience and flexibility.

Jobs Roster View

  • Shift Creation for All Job Types: Create shifts for both fixed and flexible jobs.



  • Available Temps: Lists temps available for the job’s date and time.



  • Pre-filled Fields: Repeat workdays for fixed jobs are pre-filled and locked.
  • Advanced Filtering: Provides advanced filters for fixed jobs.


Temps Roster View

  • Primary Action: Create Shift is now the main action for quick access.



  • Integrated Matching: Easily find jobs that match the selected temp.
  • Advanced Filtering: Refine temps based on specific criteria using the advanced filter option.
