Hi Zoho Commerce team,

I'm comming accross more and more retail businesses who sell gift cards. As there is currently no way to manage this in Zoho Commerce, it is a blocker to addoption.

This is particularly popular in Europe and North America.

I recently had a conversation about this with Zoho Commerce support, but they kept suggesting we use discount coupons. This is not an appropriate alternative to gift cards.

Gift cards (also known as gift vouchers) are prepaid credit that a customer buys, often for themselves or as a gift for someone else. They usually have a unique code to prevent fraud. To redeem the credit, the customer enters the code when purchasing, and the value is applied to their order. The balance can be used across multiple purchases rather than all at once.

From a business perspective, when a gift card is sold it is recorded as a liability (an obligation to provide goods or services in future), not as immediate sales. The business only counts it as sales revenue when the gift card is actually redeemed for a purchase.

Please let us know if this is already being worked on. If it's not, please priortise it.
