Hidden Fields with Data Pre-Population and Notification Integration in Zoho Bookings Forms

Dear Zoho Bookings Support Team,

We'd like to propose a feature enhancement for Zoho Bookings forms that would improve data management and workflow efficiency: the ability to create hidden fields with pre-populated data.

Current Functionality:

Zoho Bookings currently allows hiding form fields, making them invisible to users during form submission. However, this functionality has limitations:

Data Pre-Population: There's no way to pre-populate hidden fields with specific information.

Notification Integration: It's unclear if data from hidden fields is included in notification emails or other alerts triggered by bookings.

Feature Request:

We request the introduction of hidden fields with two key functionalities:

Data Pre-Population: Allow us to assign values to hidden fields during consultation creation or through integrations. This pre-populated data would be automatically included in the booking information.

Notification Integration: Ensure that data from hidden fields is seamlessly integrated into notification emails and other alerts associated with bookings. This would allow for the transmission of critical information without cluttering the booking form presented to users.

Benefits:

Improved Data Management: Pre-populated hidden fields would streamline data entry by automatically including essential information, reducing manual work and potential errors.

Enhanced Workflow Efficiency: Automating data population through hidden fields would save time and minimize the need for manual updates during consultation creation.

Streamlined User Experience: Hiding unnecessary information within the form would create a cleaner and more focused booking experience for users.


By the way - I know that I can pass data via the URL - but this is not a good solution in my use case 

Conclusion:

The ability to utilize hidden fields with pre-populated data and notification integration would significantly improve data management, workflow efficiency, and user experience within Zoho Bookings forms. We believe this feature would be valuable for many users who require a more streamlined approach to booking data handling.
