Important Security Update: Key Invalidation of Past Meetings and Webinars
Every meeting or webinar that you create in Zoho Meeting has a unique 10 digit key. This key can be used to join meetings and webinars even if a user does not have the joining link. As a step towards better data security, Zoho Meeting now invalidates the keys of all meetings and webinars as soon as they end.
What’s the impact?
Meetings
As a result of this security update, you will not be able to start or edit any of your past meetings from your Zoho Meeting account. However, you can reschedule the meetings you have already created, for a future time using the newly added Reschedule option. When you reschedule a past meeting, all the information related to the past meeting including the topic, agenda, and participants list get carried over to the new meeting. Your participants will also receive a new invitation email.
To reschedule a past meeting:
- In your Zoho Meeting account, go to My Meetings > Past Meetings
- Click the meeting you want to reschedule.
- Click Reschedule at the top-right corner of the meeting details page.
- Enter the new time and date, add or remove participants if required, and click Save. The rescheduled meeting will be listed in your Upcoming Meetings list and a new invitation will be sent to all participants.
Webinars
You will not be able to edit or start your past webinars anymore. However, if you conduct webinars regularly on the same topic, you can use the
recurring webinar feature.
To protect your meetings and keep them private, remember to use the
Lock Meeting feature, and also enable sound notifications for participant entry and exit. The privacy and security of your data is of utmost importance to us and we will make continuous efforts to keep it safe by all measures.
We hope you enjoy using Zoho Meeting. To share feedback or raise questions, write to us at support@zohomeeting.com
