Saving document unchanged.
We have an application that takes a document template and merges it with data from our local server side database.
We then open the document in zoho writer. The user can opt to print it out or simply save the document back to a saved area.
The problem is that if Zoho does not detect any changes to the document it will not save it. One must perform some operation on the document, such as adding a space or some other extraneous formatting.
This should not be required as the document is not necessarily being posted back to the same location from whence it came.
Also it apparently is not possible to save an rtf document back to our server as a pdf although it is possible to export it to the local browser window.
This is forcing us to have to use OpenOffice on the server to perform the local conversion. Why can't Zoho post the document back to the originating server as a pdf?
