Tip #4: Restore deleted files quickly

Hello everyone,

We hope you're finding our WorkDrive Tips and Tricks series useful.

In today's tip, we'll teach you how to restore the deleted files quickly.

Let's say you're preparing for an important upcoming presentation. After working on the presentation in a team folder, you've decided to move some unwanted files to Trash. During this process, you accidentally deleted a file that was meant to be presented to a client and find yourself scrambling to restore the file. This is a frustrating position to be in.

The team files you've created over time are a knowledge base for your business. Losing valuable information could be detrimental to growth and it is important to keep files protected within your organization. In such cases, Zoho WorkDrive provides an option to restore files and folders at any time.

Let's see how to restore a file/folder that is deleted:
  1. Open your WorkDrive account, navigate to the left panel and click on your Team Folder.
  2. Click the Manage button in the top and select Trash to access your trash folder.

  3. Select the file or folder you wish to restore and click the Restore button in the top. Alternatively, you can hover over the file or folder and click Restore  icon.

Note:  Only Admins and Organizers can restore files and folders deleted from the Team Folder. Also, note that only Admins can permanently delete files or restore them later into the Team Folder.

Info: For WorkDrive Business plan, files and folders deleted from the Trash will be temporarily moved to Deleted Items in Admin Console before they get permanently deleted based on the team's data retention policy.

We hope you will find this tip helpful in retrieving the deleted files quickly.
