Update your Google connection with Zoho TeamInbox

Update your Google connection with Zoho TeamInbox

Dear all,

Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Google has recently updated its security policy to enhance user protection, requiring all third-party apps and services to use OAuth authentication and password-less login methods. This update impacts users who have connected their Google email accounts to Zoho TeamInbox, incoming email channel via IMAP or POP or outgoing email channel via custom SMTP. The new security standards ensure a safer way to access your Google account by eliminating the need for direct password sharing.

To continue using your Google account with Zoho TeamInbox, you need to update your connection method to comply with these changes.

Here's how to do it:

  1. In your Zoho TeamInbox account, locate the 'Update Connection' banner on the bottom-right corner of your screen or under the 'Action Required' section in your settings.

                       .

  2. Click 'Update Now.'

  3. You will be taken to the list of channels in your organization. Find the channel with "Action Required" next to it and click on it.

  4. In the channel details, you will see a banner prompting you to update the connection. Click on 'Update Now.'

  5. This will redirect you to Google's authentication page. Complete the authentication process to finish updating the connection.
