Writer very buggy and glitchy after only a few minutes of use... oh my.

I am finding Writer to be very buggy and glitchy while using it.  I've tried it in Firefox, Chrome, Safari... all Mac.
  • Complete words get deleted on backspace (probably a feature, but disconcerting and bad design, esp. if you just want to delete a couple just-typed characters)
  • Often when backspacing, the cursor refuses to go past a certain point or up to the next line, despite the fact there are deletable characters there.
  • The insert cursor jumps around on its own, e.g. I click one place, the cursor jumps a few characters back or forward or down a line or two.
  • When trying to paste some words into a bullet list, the program heads off to some kind of "processing" mode for several seconds.
Oh boy, I was really wanting to find Writer ready-for-use.  Though I generally like the interface and experience, it seems way too twitchy to use.  Darn, I'm trying to get away from Google.  Come on Zoho Writer team, are we short on development staff, perhaps?
