Custom field in "Bill To" section

Custom field in "Bill To" section

Hello,

I am trying to add a custom field called VAT number at the bottom of the address that's shown in the "Bill To" section on invoices.

I've created a new custom field in global Settings → Preferences → Invoices → Field Customization.



If "Show in All PDFs" is chosen, it appears under "Due Date" on the right side which is not the desired location.

I tried editing the standard invoice template → Header → Billing Address Format (Custom) and added

  1. VAT number: ${contact.contact_vat_number}

But on the invoice, only the label of "VAT number: " appears but not the value which I've filled.

Please advise.
