Conceptual organization of Tasks
If you want better adoption of Projects, Zoho needs to follow industry-wide PM practices and nomenclature. There must be one person at Zoho that thought up this design and thinks it's great. The rest of the world is struggling to make this square peg fit in a round hole. The way tasks is conceptually organized needs to be thought through and re-structured so that it functions in a familiar way. I'm looking for implementing Zoho projects. It's a great tool for managing new projects! But there is one thing I cant figure out.. We are a company which builds software. We have a lot of customers which work with our developed software. Our customers are used to create a ticket when they want a new feauture or the find a bug in the software. Because we have multiple branches with different employees, we'd like to be able to Create a Milestone or Task List Template by duplication of an existing template, rather than having to create one from a Project (if not doing from scratch), then simply change the names of the individuals responsible for the tasks. I tend to use the Projects view so I can see an overview of all the projects I'm working on. But it'd be great if on that screen it was possible to see the next "task" due, so I can see what needs to be done next easily, without having to go in to each project. Hi there, We are trying to create a custom field for integrating our Portal to Gitlab. We created a custom field for the project ID in Gitlab. However, when editing the custom function, this "custom field" does not appear as an option for assigning it as a "Parameter Value" to a "Parameter Name" in the function's arguments. Hi, I would need some help with how to get less email notifications. I'm a project manager and therefor I've been (together with all other project managers at my company) set to admin for the zoho project. The lowest role we can set for a user is a contractor in Zoho projects. But that user can see his tasks as well as tasks of rest of the project team members. While archiving some of our projects I noticed that when I set a project to Archived, it actually set's the project status to 'Completed'. I have noticed before that even though all tasks/tasklists/milestones are completed, the project is not set to completed (even though it is 100% done). Timesheet in Zoho Projects helps you big time in entering log hours for the tasks and issues and approving them. Now, with the new Time Log Restriction option, you can set daily and weekly log hour limits. You can restrict users from entering extra log hours than the permissible limit. The limits are restricted to 24 hours per day and 168 hours per week by default based on business hours. To customize, navigate to Task & Timesheet settings under Portal Configuration in Zoho Projects setup and enableCatch Zoho Projects' New Video Series!

I believe that sorting of tasks helps managing the activities in a better fashion. You might second it too . By default, the tasks are listed chronologically. However, you can sort the tasks either by its title, start date, end date, priority, created by and percentage completion. All you have to do is, click the Task Sorting option and select the required criteria.
