Hi. New to books but have been using invoice since 2014. I have done a couple of jobs this year that I have had to buy parts for. one is a fan belt and the other is a part for a gear linkage. Not sure how to enter the parts and then invoice them to the customer. I tried it through bills but do not think this is right. Do I have to create an item, if so I could end up with lots of items. Can i have an item called parts and edit it each time I use it. My main business is gardening and so my main sale
retrieve all items via api with scope
Hey guys, Because I have too many inactive items with the same names (+myID) & you don't have a preference for "ignore inactive items" I have to retrieve all of the items & process them myself in Google Sheets. The problem I'm having is with the api scope! I want to be able to see exactly what and how the customer is going to see in his portal before ! enabled it. As a matter of fact i would like to see his portal at all times. Sometimes a customer calls and talks to me about what he sees in his portal and as i do not have the same view (i do have the elements : quotes, invoice, paiements), i cannot assit him correctly during the support call.

Hello I have a field called job title and I want to search records based on this field. For example I am trying to search for CTO. The problem is when I do a searching asking for records those job title "contains" "CTO", I also find a lot of records those job title is "director of ...". What I would like to do is to search this field doing something like this: - contains "cto" - not contains "director" Any way to do that? Thanks

Is there a way to create line items that are billable towards a specific customer? some items we buy goto stock and then get used and billed later but MOST items we buy are for specific projects / customers.

Barclaycard updates auto every day .... My other UK accounts - Lloyds & Barclays do not ? Is there anything I need to do to make this happen auto daily ? Since the enhancements there are lots of duplicated transactions being downloaded - I update nearly every day, last time was 10th Jan & today - 12th Jan it brought in transactions from the 4th Jan - Barclays bank UK

Used to be able to hit the "Name" column in item groups to put them in alphabetical order like in "items". Is there a glitch or can't that be done anymore?
Multi Location Billing
We are a company based out of gurgaon and have branches in Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad with their respective warehouses and GST. We need to enable billing from these locations with their respective branch address and GST. How do we enable this in books? Hey Zoho guys, I have started to get used to sales orders & can see the logic of using them regarding packing & shipping etc .... What I can't understand is why estimates aren't in Inventory, in Books we can't convert an estimate to a Sales order ? I'm beginning to wonder if I've made the right choice using Books & Inventory ? Problem with GSTR 1 filing
There is a strange thing happening when I generate GSTR 1 through Zoho Books. When I click on overview, it shows properly all the transaction details. Customers with same name
Hello, 1)I run a business in which a lot of company names are similar to one another OR a lot of the companies have similar names, but vary with location or the contact owner. The issue here is when i create a sales order or invoice i get to see only the display names Hence it shows repeated names and i am not able to find out the exact customer from the list. 2) Is there a way to stop the Display name from showing up in the billing address in the sales orders? Always Tax Inclusive
Why cant you consider ALWAYS TAX INCLUSIVE addition to the existing options.. Since we are doing GST invoices, It is compulsory to keep TAX Inclusive in each invoice. Now we have to update the same to tax inclusive or check and confirm the same. In the retail Invoice there is no option to select the same. so we are suppose to alter the invoice after saving/posting. Kindly help us to solve the issue.

Hello there, I have a specific invoice / estimate number system which was so far based on a number of parameters: For estimates, my numbering takes on the following format: EST-YYAA-MMDD/NN.RR Where, YY is the year in which the estimate was created (e.g. 17 for 2017) AA is a alphanumeric project code (taken from a custom dropdown field called "Project Type" I created under Estimate Preferences, it's 2 or 3 characters long) MM is the month in which the estimate was created (e.g. 12 for December)

I've configured WePay and Stripe for use withing ZoHo Books. However, when trying to take payments online we have received this error: We are unable to process the payment at the moment as "Please ensure that the field values are valid and non empty." Hi Experts, We are using .Net c# code to create a customer contact in Zoho books using Zoho books Rest API.But we are getting "Invalid URL Passed" exception. Please find the attached sample code screenshot "Customer_Contact.png" for your reference., It seems that JSONString is not passed correctly. Could you please let us know how to pass the JSONString. Unfinished works guys ? We only have "Is" for status & subStatus ? We'd also like ... Is Not Contains Does not contain In Books & Inventory please! You may as well give us the ability to remove whichever columns we choose - Date & Amount is not a priority to be listed for me & would tidy up the list nicely if removed :-) I also notice the Invoiced, packed & shipped statuses aren't available in custom views ? - Oooops - that's just in Books, it's there in Inventory !
