Video tip 6: How assessments improve learning in a digital training environment
In any kind of training course, assessments are an integral part of the instruction process and in helping your audience learn more. ShowTime offers customizable test forms to display to your learners once a video ends in on-demand sessions. These assessments, using question formats, such as multiple choice, true or false, short answer, and fill in the blank types, are best suited to guide improvement in student learning. These question formats help trainers administer quizzes to effectively evaluate course-related knowledge and skills on a regular basis.
Once the session is done, you can also view your trainee's test performance metrics like total score, marks received for each question, and more helping you gauge a trainee's level of competence and understanding. Multiple-choice :
Auto-graded multiple-choice questions allow instructors to test their learners quickly and efficiently as students can typically answer a multiple choice question much more quickly than an essay question. ShowTime allows you to configure multiple choice questions to gather a large amount of objective results to gauge a student’s grasp and retention of content during the training course.
True or False :
This question format can be constructed with a few words, which makes them less dependent on the learner’s ability to read quickly. These questions take less time to be answered (on average, a learner can answer 3-4 true or false questions per minute), and they assist learners in acquiring and retaining new information.
Fill-in-the-blank:
Fill-in-the-blank questions allow for a deeper test of knowledge by asking the learner to specify the answer which is left as a blank in the given sentence. It also minimizes the chance of students guessing the answer as it requires students to think about what they have learned, as opposed to choosing from multiple possible answers or guessing true or false.
Kindly note that while configuring a Fill-in-the-blank question, you'll need to provide the correct answer in brackets [ ] so ShowTime can verify your audience's responses and award them the correct points.

By using various test question formats, it's possible for trainers to vary the way they gather assessment results, improve the quality of their classroom assessments, and align their assessments with valued learning goals. After the test, you can also import and customize certificates which can be awarded to attendees once they complete a training.
