Auto populate Fields - between 2 Forms
Hi All, This questions has been asked and answered in past. I have used same logic given in those post. But it is still not working. I have a form called Employee and has below field. Two Major Issues/Bugs
Hi, I'm facing two sensitive problem in the application. 1. Application is very slow when subform contains around 50 Records. I have 1 Parent form record, which have 210 records in subform. It is fetching 210 records out of 400 records when i click on edit. It is taking around 3 - 4 minutes to open when i click on edit. (I'm using 2Mbps Speed net) Now per month i have to enter some 1500 records into that subform. what if that has to fetch from 10,000 or 20,000
Chart View
I am trying to create a chart of information in my database and when I select 'new view' only 5 options appear and the 'chart view' is missing. Is there a reason for this? or how do I enable my database to make charts for example how many people take part in project x would be what I would want to display in the chart. Thanks!
How to Expand the Display of a Field's Length in a Form?

Multiple fields which update a single attribute

Print a two week time sheet on to 1 page instead of 4
Hi I am in the middle of making a fortnight time sheet form in creator and when I test the summary print option the record is in the middle of the print page view and there will be about 4 pages... We have a main database that we input all details into. We have another database where we used a script with a Lookup field to pull details across. I want to create another database that uses the same script and Lookup field to pull details across from the main database but it wont work. Can more than one Lookup script be used on the same database?? Thank you in advance for a speedy response.
Alert box size
This isn't a major issue but I have found the size of the alert box to be inconsistent. I've taken a screenshot of one my alert boxes with the text removed. I show the alert when the user modifies a field. The first time I see the alert, it is a long slim box. When I close the alert box and change the field again, I see the alert box but much wider. The second layout is much more preferable. Is there a way for Zoho Creator to show consistent alert boxes that match the second screenshot?

Can you move data from onen form view to another?
Hi, I essentially want to have just one form, and then have a multi-select which allows me to choose 1 of 3 options, and based on which of the three is chosen that determines which view the item goes to. For example, if i wanted to manage inventory i could have 3 choices: active, new arrival, coming soon So when I enter a new item coming soon i would select 'coming soon' and it would be displayed under the coming soon view', once the product is available i could edit the record to 'new arrival'

Is the application a VieW only or can people that log in change the app like I can?
Hiding and showing fields for groups
I have a field in my form that I would like to show just to members of one group (which I have created) and the admin user. I know how to hide the field from everyone other than admin, but is there a way to then show it to a particular group, if necessary by iterating through its members?

Is anyone experiencing problems with emails not being received by users from Zoho Creator today?
I have added three new accounts today to my version of Zoho Creator and not one of the users have received an automatically generated email inviting them to log into the system, which should normally happen. The emails are not appearing in their spam filters either. Has anyone else experienced any similar problems today?
Login using Username instead of email confusion
The login page for my Zoho Creator app asks for email and password. My users have a username that is not an email address. This has confused a few people. I think it should say email or username.
How to determin or edit Username
I am trying to configure access control by user name. My approach is to create a folder for ACL and type user name in it. This actually works. ACL == zoho.loginuser I just need to enter user name in ACL field in advance. The problem is that I do not know how Zoho system generates or determin the user name, and I am wondering if there is any way to edit the user name. decimal field, but won't register decimal places
Hi, i have a decimal field set up in zoho (2 decimal places) but when i put in a value with decimal places it doesn't accept it. how do i fix this?
Image in Note field in new builder
In the new form builder a note field no longer has the image icon on the top. It does show in the old builder. Is this a minor over site or will there be a new way to add images to a note field? Changing the display type of view to "Grid" does not work
Should I have chosen "Grid" as a display type when I created the view? I tried to change the type from List to Grid, but the view was same. I changed to Calendar and Summary, and they worked fine. Is it an expected behavior? Thank you.
Allowing multiple login users to share Enterprise paid license
Hello, Since Zoho allows other users to share my application that I give access to through email IDs and by requiring them to create a Zoho account with a limited space and number of records, how can I make a group of users share a paid enterprise license which has more space and 100,000 record limit? My ideal scenario would be to have my application be internally shared by defined users that I can create in my application with a custom login screen. Combined View in the new interface - missing an option to choose related fileds
Is this documentation still valid? https://www.zoho.com/creator/help/views/create-a-combined-view.html I wanted to have a combined view, but I do not see an option to select fields. In addition, my combined view does not show fields from another view. The lookup filed shows a link to the other view. Of course, if I click on "Sample" in Group field, I can see the associated values, but I want to display as your example in the document shows. Is there any workaround to do in the new interface? Deluge System Variables for group
Is there any system variable for group? zoho.loginuser is just for logged in user. System variable for logged in group will be a great help. Field level access control by group will be possible. If there is no variable for it, are you planning to add it to the Deluge? Thank you.
Problems adding a User
I am trying to add a new user to our account (our plan is a Profession Plus which states we may have 25 and at the moment we only have 11). Every time I add this user and then try to Share a section of the program with him as I have with all the others I get a message which says Succes but then errorMsg:Null and he is not added to the Shared list. Hi we use creator linked in with our zoho crm, We have a database which lists our customers equipment and we have a report that groups equipment to the customer. The problem is once you do this I cannot find a way to search by the contacts details. We could when we did not group. Is this a fault or am i missing something?

Assign Task Code
I have a code which is put in the View Code/Script Editor of the form of the Contact. It creates a Task and puts in the TextBoxes of the Task form, the Values from the ComboBoxes or TextBoxes from the Contact that the Task is created from. So in the form of the Contact, there is the new CommandButton4 that when I click on in the Contact, it creates the Task and the brings the Values from the ComboBoxes or TextBoxes from the Contact that the Task is created from to the TextBoxes in the Task created.

Invalid character set on confirmation email
I'm having an issue when submitting confirmation emails with a custom record summary. All "spanish characters" or characters typed using an spanish keyboard (such as : or - which are placed differently than the english keyboard) come with weird characters (as in "A4: Aviación" or "1:500") on the custom record summary I have set to be attached to the confirmation email.
