We’re excited to announce the launch of the Workflow APIs and Actions APIs as part of Zoho CRM’s v8 API suite!
These powerful new endpoints provide developers with unparalleled programmatic control over business automation in Zoho CRM.
For years, Workflow Rules have been the cornerstone of automation in Zoho CRM—helping businesses streamline operations, minimize manual effort, and maintain process consistency.
Now, with these new APIs, you can manage and optimize workflows entirely through code.
You can now fully manage Workflow Rules programmatically:
Retrieve details of a specific workflow rule or all workflow rules in your organization.
Access workflow rule configuration metadata through the Workflow Rule Configuration API, including supported triggers and actions for each module.
Reorder workflows to control execution priority.
Delete workflows that are no longer relevant.
View workflow limits and module-wise counts of configured rules.
Analyze detailed usage reports with the new Workflow Rule Usage Reports API—track how often a workflow was triggered, along with success and failure metrics for each action within a selected date range.
A workflow is only as powerful as the actions it performs—and with the new Actions APIs, you can now programmatically configure and manage all your workflow actions:
Field Updates — Get, Create, Update, Delete
We’ve also introduced new APIs to help you monitor and analyze automation performance:
Actions Usage APIs — Generate usage reports for Webhooks and Email Notifications.
Get Webhooks Associated Modules — Identify which modules your Webhooks are linked to.
Webhooks Failure Report API — Retrieve detailed reports on failed webhook executions for easier debugging.
With the new Workflow and Actions APIs, you now have complete programmatic control over CRM automation.
To help you get started quickly, we’ve updated our official Postman collection with all the new endpoints. Simply fork the collection and begin testing these APIs today.
