Higher upload limits and seamless file upload experience with WorkDrive
Say goodbye to concerns about file size, network problems, or interruptions during the upload process. With WorkDrive's new chunk file upload capabilities, we've transformed the way you upload files.
WorkDrive now breaks large files into smaller segments or chunks and uploads them individually. This improvement enables you to seamlessly upload larger files and resume uploads after interruptions, even in challenging internet conditions.
We've also bumped up the file upload limit to a whopping 250 GB! Business edition users can now effortlessly upload those massive project files without any hassle.
Here's a quick overview of the file upload limits based on your WorkDrive plan:
- Starter Edition: Upload single files of up to 10 GB in size
- Team Edition: Upload single files of up to 50 GB in size
- Business Edition: Upload single files of up to 250 GB in size
- Zoho One Bundle (WorkDrive): Upload single files of up to 250 GB in size

Create or upload code snippets in WorkDrive
Save code snippets by typing in the programming code or copying and pasting it from an external source. You can also upload code snippets and store them directly within the WorkDrive platform. Then, effortlessly share your saved code snippets with team members or collaborators.
Note: The auto-detect code feature in WorkDrive will identify the programming language based on the entered code. However, you can also manually select a language from a list of available options.
What's next: We are currently working on the line-based commenting feature for code snippets, which will allow you to comment and collaborate on any specific line of your programming code.

Webhooks in WorkDrive: Real-time notifications for enhanced productivity and security
Webhooks gives you real-time notifications of file, folder, team folder, and team based events directly in an external app (the URL you specify) as soon as triggering events occur in WorkDrive. They facilitate the real-time exchange of information by automatically delivering notifications from one application to others.
Note: This feature is available only in WorkDrive Business Plan.
(i) Setting up webhooks in WorkDrive is accomplished through the use of custom apps. As an admin or super admin of a WorkDrive team, you can create a custom app from the Admin console and configure corresponding webhooks within it.
Here's a video outlining the webhook setup process. Whenever a file is deleted from a team folder in WorkDrive, this particular webhook automatically notifies users through the Cliq app.
Here are a few ways you can make the most of WorkDrive's webhooks:
- Simplify file monitoring
Configure a webhook to deliver swift notifications whenever a file is uploaded, modified, or deleted from a specific location in WorkDrive.
- Enhance collaboration
Webhooks can instantly alert you about edits to shared documents, new comments, and other changes made by collaborators.
- Control access to files for enhanced security
Webhooks can be used to monitor user access and permissions in real time. For example, you can configure a webhook to promptly notify you whenever a user's role or access permissions change within WorkDrive. This ensures that you can take immediate action to prevent unauthorized access to your files and folders.

The data retention feature is now enabled for Starter and Team plans. Previously, this feature was exclusively available on the WorkDrive Business plan.

We have expanded our language support to include all 22 official Indian languages. This means that you can now access and interact with WorkDrive in your preferred Indian language for a more convenient and user-friendly experience.
Enhanced functionalities in WorkDrive Snap
To enrich your recording experience, we've introduced a few enhancements in WorkDrive Snap. We've enhanced the user interface and improved the screen and video recording functions.
- Common enhancements: Enjoy the flexibility of muting and unmuting the microphone, as well as toggling the camera on and off while recording screens or videos.
- Video recording upgrades: Take control of your video recordings with the new maximize and minimize options. Now, you can adjust the video resolution according to your preference, choosing from 1080p, 720p (default), and 480p.
- Screen recording enhancements: We've provided a picture-in-picture (PIP) option for users recording their entire screen from the Chrome browser.
Improved search functionality
Elevate your search experience to new heights! Our latest enhancements help create a smoother user experience:
- Saved search: You now have the option to save your frequently used and repetitive searches along with the applied filters, making the process of generating future search results effortless.
- Recent search listings: Your recent searches are now at your fingertips within the search UI. Quickly access them to find the information you need.
- Streamlined search: We've introduced a dedicated search bar in the Embedded Folder and External Share views, so users can quickly find and access files in these views. Additionally, we have enabled quick search options to help users find files in their My Folder, Team Folder, Org Folder, and any other specific subfolder.
- Keyword highlighting: Searched terms are now highlighted in the search suggestion UI and on the Searched File listing page, ensuring improved visibility and ease of use.
- Mobile app search:
- We have improved the search functionality in the WorkDrive mobile apps by introducing search options at both the parent folder and at the sub-folder level.
- Multiple filter options have been added to expedite discovery of your desired files and folders.
Video and audio preview enhancements
We have enhanced video and audio previews by adding seek forward (Shift+Right arrow) and seek backward (Shift+Left arrow) options. We have also introduced shortcut options for muting/unmuting (M), entering/exiting full screen mode (F), and playing/pausing your content (space bar).
Additionally, we have introduced picture-in-picture (PIP) support for video files.
Other UI/UX fixes and enhancements
- Zoho Mail + WorkDrive integration enhancements: We have introduced the Attach as a Copy option for Zoho native (Writer, Sheet, and Show) files. Collaborators can now view and download shared Zoho native files within the Zoho Mail application.
- Tree navigation pagination: Tree navigation pagination makes it easy to view and access all your folders and subfolders within the tree navigation UI.
- Quick access feature: We've added the [+ NEW] button to the Recent Files and Favorites tabs, allowing you to effortlessly create, upload, or import files directly from these tabs.
