Delayed vs. Not Completed
I have an idea that there is an 'operational gap' in the use of delayed when tasks or milestones pass their assigned completion date. Delayed is used as a catch all term, & it implies that an action is this way because of circumstances beyond the operator's control. This is not always so--a task may simply be not completed or incomplete, rather than delayed. For example, I might have a task that is continuous over a 1 or 2 week period, and therefore, have the task repeat for a total of 5-10 days,
Newbie:- Non automate email nitification for registration
Hi, I am trying to get to know Zoho projects & i have 2 queries QUERY 1 I see that as soon as i add a team meber & client (user), they are isntianly notified by the registration. But I am yet to prepare the milstones and tasks .. and assign them to the team mebers. I would like to have the registration mail sent --after i have allocated the tasks to respective members. ...( not as soon as i add them as user) Would this be possible ? How do I modify the Client User registration email text? It would be confusing to clients if I don't customize... remove Zoho reference (they have no idea what that is) and provide some basic information about how to use it... additionally I have different URL for the login page that then redirects to the actual page. Add user defined fields to a task to be used in reporting
Can you please add some user defined fields to a task so it can be used in different reports? For example. Task - Setup tooling User Defined 1 = Product (All, Mars, Venus, Earth) User Defined 2 = Operations User Defined 3 = China this would in addition to having a Resource assigned to it.

simplified version zoho projects
it's great that you've designed this with high end biz use in mind, but it would also be good for smaller biz, if one could dumb it down a bit. for instance, our biz does not need 'milestones' a task list per project is enough...and 'milestones' just confused my people. also one thing to keep in mind in ALL of our offerings is that not every "task" or to-do item, has a "DUE DATE"... for small biz's many things we need or intend to do are all ASAP basis... when we have the money or time to do them

Project GUI display
The styling does not display properly in Firefox 3... and the skins are not fully extended to all headers (some shading is still the default skin). The projecrt interface is generally a little clnky.. I would love to see it cleaned up and made to work in all browsers equally... especially if clients are going to log-in. Thanks. lordgod
homepage-priority indication & selection
It is good that we can indicate at task level the degree of priority. However, on the homepage, there is no corresponding way to refine selection in terms of these levels of priority. It would be good if Zoho were to introduce a function that would enable the selection of tasks (and milestones) by the level of priority.
linking Zoho Writer documents and documents in Zoho project
I use both Zoho writer and projects and it would be nice to be able to link my documents in writer to the relevent project doc space instead of having to download and up load docs to get them in to project. Hi, I am new to Zoho Projects. It offers so much great value to our work so I hate to see it missing some key features. Hope you can look into them in regards to Meeting section 1- Upon creating a new meeting, I don't see any box for detailing what the meeting is all about. Title is good, but not thorough enough. I can't see the Switch To menu item in Zoho Projects
All the other Zoho products have a new menu at the very top; one of them is called Switch To, and when I click on it, I can select another Zoho product to switch to. However, why can't I see this menu item in Zoho Projects? I can get to Zoho Projects from any other Zoho product, but I don't have the menu item in Zoho Projects that allows me to get to other products.

Milestone filtering by user
We have multiple users set up with each user adding milestones and tasks, with themselves set up as the primary user. The problem is that when you go to View Others Tasks, filtering by user, not all the milestones set up by that user show. This is prevalent for all of the individual users. if we filter using All under the "View Others Tasks", the milestones reappear. How do we overcome what seems to be a bug? We are all on macs using Firefox or Safari

Auto-Login into solitary project
New users using Zoho-Projects will start with one project most of the times. I needed some time to understand, that I had to click on the project on the upper left project list, in order to go on. I think I would be good idea to auto-login users in a solitary project (in the case the user has only access to one project). I think this is important to make the first-use experience even more exciting. Most people will check out the free one-project version, before ordering one of the ohter products.

There is a common cerebration among Users, that Tasks & Milestones disappear when exported to an excel file. Is it so ?? Nopes, Tasks & Milestones do not disappear when exported to an excel file, instead they are displayed in other sheets of the excel file. This is because, by default only 50 tasks are presented per sheet. Same-day dependencies?
When I try to add tasks that should be completed on the same day, but have their own dependency chain, I get the error "Enter valid dependency." I understand the constraint that is being enforced, but it's made it extremely difficult to break down projects as granularly as we'd like. Any way to circumvent this or resolve it?

I love projects, but if you are going to use it seriously (ie 15+ tasks per day) it must integrate with a spreadsheet (excel of zohosheet). The interface is just not suited to managing multiple tasks.

Logging time
It would be awesome if there were an option to view the amount of time logged on a given task. If I could go from looking at a task in the Tasks and Milestones view and click a button to see how much time has been logged on any task (over all time, or over a given date range), that would be very helpful.
