Last year, our team was focused on research and development so we could deliver updates that enhance your spreadsheet experience. This year, we’re excited to deliver those enhancements—but we'll be rolling them out incrementally to help you explore them. First on the list is a set of new features around data entry and collaboration. 


Introducing multi-select picklists

Zoho Sheet now supports multi-select picklists, allowing you to pick more than one item from the picklist and insert them into the same cell. Additionally, you can customize the appearance of the picklist items with preferred colors and display them as bubbles—for a better organized and user-friendly experience.

Collect, organize, and manage data from within your spreadsheet

We're introducing forms in Zoho Sheet to make data collection easy and efficient. With the drag-and-drop interface, you can quickly create forms, personalize them, and share them with your respondents. All of the responses are automatically synced to your spreadsheets, organized, and ready for further analysis.



Automate workflows for better collaboration

Manually tracking spreadsheet approvals is a cycle of back-and-forth messages, missed follow-ups, and scattered feedback.

To eliminate the hassle and streamline the approval process, we're introducing Workflows in Zoho Sheet. With a defined workflow, you can assign reviewers, track progress, and finalize—all without leaving your spreadsheet.




Finalize your spreadsheets

In shared spreadsheets, things can easily get messy, especially when a collaborator makes last-minute changes.

To help you finalize the final version of your spreadsheet, we're introducing Mark as final. You can mark your spreadsheets as final and prevent collaborators from conflicting updates. The spreadsheet will remain in read-only mode until the owner or anyone with edit permission enables editing.

Stay informed with custom email notifications

Never miss out on any updates made to your spreadsheet. Previously, we supported email notifications for comments, and now we're expanding email notifications for all changes made to your spreadsheet, including who made the change, what the change was, and when was it made.

We understand that receiving too many notifications can be exasperating. That's why you can select your notification preference and how often you'd like to receive them.

More room for spreadsheet actions 

As part of the new updates, we have increased the size limits for spreadsheet actions, so you can perform larger actions and work more efficiently with your data.
  1. Maximum number of cells per spreadsheet: 10 million
  2. Maximum number of rows per spreadsheet: 262K
  3. Maximum number of columns in a spreadsheet: 2,048
  4. Maximum file size you can import: 50 MB
