Criteria for Custom Actions
This idea may be a little obtuse to describe, but let me try: I like the ability to add the custom action (function) button to list items... What seems missing in this feature is criteria for when these show up. Rather than just a YES/NO for displaying for all records, does it not make sense to have an addition option to display the custom action button based on some criteria per record? I have three tables that share a unique id in common. I need to create a form that can query each of those three tables and bring back the matching results into a table. I would like the records referenced in the table to be links that will open up a report, printable as a pdf, that can pull info from each of the three tables. How do I do this?
Share A Single Record
I have several forms and views within a single application. I am trying to share a single record to another individual without granting them access to all information within an entire form or view. I tried creating a filter and creating a permalink but as soon as the filter is removed the individual can use the permalink to view all information. I also tried exporting the data but continuously receive an error that says the applications (XLS, PDF, HTML, etc.) are not available. Does anyone have
is there anyway to hide sensitive information with stars?
My users have to enter social security numbers and other information i want to hide with "stars ****" as they are typing. I would be very grateful if someone can tell me how to do it, or suggest a work around

Can the zoho team either make it so numeric fields are either 0 if they are null or the default value is put in there if the user clears it or can we get an isnull function were we can replace the null with a number of our choosing. That would be a great addition. Thanks, Shadrach

OnLoad Hide a Column in an View?
See the code below. This code is embed in a HTML View so that I can display several other views on a single page. Essentially the embedded view below looks for for Applications where the MOBID (on the main page) is equal to the MOBID associated with the app. The problem is that in order for this to work my embedded view has to have the MOBID column present. Heads-up Zoho: Google Chrome browser for Mac not entirely friendly with Zoho Creator forms/views
Zoho Support, You may already be tracking this, but Googles Chrome browser for Mac still in Beta (but far along... ver.4.x) has several critically problematic issues with Zoho Creator in edit modes for forms, scripts, etc. Appears to be mostly javascript/display related issues. Because Chrome is a "light" browser (loads fast, clean, uncluttered), many (including me) will likely adopt it as a primary browser. I urge Zoho to coordinate w/ the Google Chrome development team to assure Zoho Creator
Wide Spread Issues? More than one person reporting them
More than one person is reporting data or other items vanishing. This seems to be a growing problem, not just mine. Also, particularly the database applications take TOO long to load, and then there is no data in the forms and tables. Others are reporting similar problems.
Converting small decimals to scientific notation bug
In my deluge script, I had entered X>.0001. After I saved the script I left the page. When I came back to edit the script my script now read X>1.0E-4. However, after making edits to the script and trying to save I receive an error stating Encountered "E" at line #, column #. I have to change all of the 1.0E-4 to .0001 before I can save the script. Either deluge needs to understand scientific notation, or small decimal numbers should not be converted to scientific notation. -Rick

Page-Center Text in an HTML View
This is really crazy, but I'm finding it impossible to center text in an html view. This is not working: <div style="text-align:center;">Please Center Me</div> Nor is this: <div align="center">Please Center Me</div> Also not this: <center>Please Center Me</center> In all cases, the preview AND iframe views all push the text to the left: Is it broke? Or am I just being really dumb?
Suddenly the "Insert Fields" box in form editor is blocking access to edit fields
Something has changed and now when editing a form the Insert Fields floating box is in the way and I can't edit the fields it is blocking access to. The Insert Fields box is in the way now.... wasn't that way before. I've checked it in a couple of different browser types, and it's the same in both. Narrowing choices in lookup field
I will try to, as simply as possible describe what I am trying to do. Please let me know if it is possible and if so, how. - Within an application I have 3 forms. Schools, Teachers, and Events. - The School form has a field called Schools. Schools is a single line entry field. - The Teachers form has two fields called Teachers and Schools. The Teachers field is a single line entry field and the Schools field is a lookup field that references the Schools field in the Schools form. - The Events database

Does anyone know of an interface that can be used with Creator to scan barcodes (eg. each time a member attends class, their membership card is scanned for their individual bar code and their attendance at a class on a specific day is recorded in Creator?

Hello. Has anyone successfully been able to use Zoho Creator as a "front-end" to their own hosted and managed Database Server using MySQL, MS SQL 2005/2008, or Oracle? If so, how did you do it? When using Zoho's email data feature, is it possible to email data with a formula field? For instance, if I have a formula field (fmlaContact) that will concatenate the data of a first name and last name, can I update the database via email by simply leaving the formula field blank? Bugs in views with criteria on look-up field
Hello, I am trying to define a view for a sub-group of elements of the database by defining some criteria for this view. When the criteria is on a field with a standard type (text, list of elements,...) it works, but when the criteria is defined on a "lookup" field (fetching the list of values in the database) it does not work anymore. add multiline-records by email
I want to add records with multiline-fields by email. My problems are: Line breaks get lost: Line1 Line2 becomes Line1Line2 and record containing ":" can not be added: a: text1 b: text2 c: text3 becomes because the content is automatically allocated to the field a, b and c (even if they do not exist). How does Zoho Creator Licensing work for Multiple Applications with Different users?
If have a Zoho Creator 5 user license as an example, and for my "Beatles" application I have the zoho users: John, Paul, George, Ringo, and myself as the Developer. Can I also have another application called "Van Halen" and allow the users: Eddie, David, Michael, Alex, and myself as the user? or am I just limited to the have the users under my "Beatles" application? My app is gone
I just began to try to use Z. Creator for this first time this afternoon. I started an app that I called "Moody Log," modeled on an old Palm Pilot program. It was not difficult to create. I was able to enter and save data with no apparent problem. I'm sure I did everything that was necessary to save it. Nonetheless, only two hours later it has now disappeared. I am not happy.

Can limit on outgoing mail (from Creator sendmail) be raised from 500 to 2000?
My org's mailing list is currently 2000 email addresses, and growing. But I can't send more than 500 per day from Zoho. This seems like a very low limit for any organization using Zoho Creator for a contacts database. How can the limit be raised to higher numbers? Please advise. Thanks. Sort drop-down alphabetically
I would like to sort the lines in a drop-down (lookup) menu alphabetically. I have checked the box "sort entries alphabetically" (or something like that) under the drop-down menu options. But the entries still appear in random order... Is that an application error or is it me? :-) And ever more important: how to make it work? Any thoughts? J
Can't import csv or xls files
This is the first time I've used this so it might be something stupid. I created a form by importing an xls file. This had a single 'record'. I am now trying to import a similar xls/csv file but with multiple 'records' ie rows. The file has exactly the same row headings and I am checking the 'first row' is column headings.
