Hours and hours and days and days of working with this. Gone. Received an "Internal Server Error 500" and the db that I have been working on has disappeared. I really like the app and the direction that you are headed - and I realize that it is beta - but it scares me to put anything I value into it - especially without the ability to back up the data - except for exporting to spreadsheets. betty
Delete Failure
I don't think that your import is right. I imported several thousand records into the database. I think that when the import failed, it imported some of that data anyway and did not back out the transaction. The reason that I believe this is because there are records that are wrong; and I've modified the related records to correct those errors in other tables - and then attempt to delete the main record that is wrong and get "Error Occurred when deleting the record". Search
I am trying to build an application that has 3 components. the first is a form that takes user input for a number of different fields. Second is a different form that takes user input to SEARCH the data inputted in step 1. and 3rd I need to display the search results. Can this be done using views and filters or is there some deluge code for creating search queries?? HELP!

Auto Generated Field
Is there any way to add an auto-generated ID field? I have not seen a RDBMS that does have an identity field that can be auto generated. If there isn't a way to do it in creator, could someone please tell me how I can auto populate the id.
application marked 'Public' not actually public
I created this application via the Write Deluge Script option. It was created successfully yet even though Creator shows it marked Public, users who are not logged in cannot access it. Feedback form integration
Hi, I'm trying to work out whether the following is possible with Creator. I'm looking to replace our website feedback form with a Creator form embedded in our page (gathering name, email and their question). As a lot of our feedback comes from potential clients I want to be able to take the above data, once it's been submitted by our web users, and classify it and assign it to our coaches. So if a feedback form is submitted I want to be able to add things like: Lead Status, Lead Owner, Product,

Shared-to Person can't access
In my application, I have an "Inactive" tab, that I have no issues with, but a person I have shared it to, while able to get at all three other tabs with no issues, when she goes to the "Inactive" tab, it gives an error retrieving data and just tells her "Failed to add data" if she tries to add anything. We have already cleared her cache and reboot her computer, but she has the same problem. Any ideas?
Backup
Creating a copy of the application is fine - so that you can go backward if needed in case you screw up in modification of the app. But the thing that is really really missing is data backup - and a critical thing it is. I realize you can export the data - and I like that too - but exporting one table at a time is not really a backup. betty

I have a password list app started. I wonder if there is a way to restrict view by user according to the value of a specific field? IE. I have a "Type" field with the values "Customer", "Personal", and "Group". I want to restrict access based on one of these groups. betty
Relationship to other 'apps'
Another request. I'd like to be able to pull data from one application into another. For example: 1. An HR app containing confidential employee information (similar to the recruiting app) 2. A PROJECT TRACKING application for keeping track of work being done. Rather than maintain data in two places, I'd like to use the "EMPLOYEE ID" field from the HR app in the PROJECT TRACKING app.
embedding application
I want to embed my Zoho application in my website, every time I try to use the javascript to do this my site gets redirected to zoho and it asks to sign in. I want people to be able to submit a form from my website, but not give them access to this. How is this possible? bradleyjoyce
Different access privileges for different users
I want to create an application in Zoho creator where: Some fields can only be viewed/edited by the administrator Some other fields can only be edited by particular users Some records are only visible to particular users I can see how to make records private to all/public to all/read-only to all. Hi - I have a contact database in zoho. I'd like to be able to create a semicolon-separated list of all the email addresses stored in that database, to be pasted into my email client. (Zoho's mail() function is too limited, without attachments or rich text). Do do this, I need to iterate through the database and concatenate one big string variable and then display it. Documentation/processing of "new line" characters
What character or characters do you use to represent "new lines" in multiline text fields? One of my applications use the capacity of the multiline textbox to input extended comments but cannot tolerate "new line" breaks(paragraphs). I want to be able to detect all hidden "new line" characters on submission and encourage the user to remove them before the submission will succeed. The Form Actions controls seem to be up to the job but I could not find any documentation of how to represent all possible

Ordering of Records?
I'm trying to create a database with Creator and the one problem I'm finding is that there doesn't seem to be any way of reordering the records once they're input. For example, I need to be able to view/export the data in alphabetical order, but I cannot discover a way to alphabetize it, either by having Creator do it, or by moving the records around manually. Any suggestions?
POST Data message after file upload
I have a form in Creator. It was operating perfectly until I added a file upload field. Now every time I upload a file after the "Success" message I get a dialog telling me the page/form contains POST Data - the same message you get when you hit your "Back" button after you've filled out a form or logged in to some websites. After the page reloads the filename is still in the upload box. I'm using Firefox, latest version for the browser. Any help/hints/advice? Thanks!
Trouble with exporting
When I was working on this the other day, I was able to export info at least into html and perhaps also into .pdf format in the summary view. Now I can only get data to export into list view, which isn't acceptable for what I need(the capability to print, basically, which doesn't work in the list view). Any suggestions?

500 Internal Server Error
I ran into this while trying to edit data. What is the issue? Other forum entries don't seem to have solutions other than this is a server issue and not a programming issue.

Is it possible in one form to use a if-condition for a formula??? f.e. muffin( type = picklist values = {"yes", "no"} bill( type = formula value = $drinks*1.5+$lunch*12.0 ) and now i want to have an if condition: if(this.muffin == "yes"){ $bill = $drinks*1.5+$lunch*12.0+$muffin*5 } else{ $drinks*1.5+$lunch*12.0 } and the question is: is it possible??? and if it is possible how? where do i have to use the if condition in "muffin" or in "bill"?
