Big Zoho Fan - Question now on Assist which I am now using
I am on this side of the Assist so I go onto people's computers. I am using unattended access. Apparently when I show up they know I am looking at their screen and wondering if there is a way to show up anonymously?
Unattended Support
I know I have seen other articles on this forum about Unattended Support licenses, and I just wanted to hit on that and a couple of other points. I would love to use Zoho Assist as my primary way of doing remote support for my customers, but i believe the product is still in an infant stages. Currently I am using Connectwise Control, which for 54$ monthly (which is what I pay) I get unlimited unattended access licenses, which is a big plus for me. Granted, i am only using 49 unattended support installs,
Clients not receiving Remote Access e-mail with JOIN SESSION link
Hello all, ever simnce today, I haven't been able to send any remote session e-mails from within Assist. I am able to initiate a session, but the clients never receive the e-mail. I had them check their Junk/Spam folders. I also tested sending one to my own private e-mail addres and nothing... Thank you in advance.
Unattended Installer
Tengo un probleme al instalar el acceso desatendido en las computadoras que quiero dar soporte remoto, en mi cuenta ya tengo 7 maquinas que se instalaron y puedo tener acceso remoto pero cuando quiero aumentar mas maquinas o computadoras al finalizar la instalación del programa me sale una falla ya intente con varias computadoras y me sale el mismo error, pero cuando borro una computadora a la que tengo acceso remoto recién me deja instalar otra computadora para que tenga acceso remoto o desatendido
Unattended Support not Connecting
Hi, I'm having an issue this morning where I am unable to access any of my 50+ PC's on Zoho Assist Unattended. They are showing as Online but when I click on them they start to connect and get stuck on "Starting Support Session". Speaking to my clients, it seems they get a pop up asking them to enter Proxy details. They aren't behind a proxy. Please help, I need to help customers! Thanks,
Assist won't connect to any PC's at one location
We have users across different locations, all of which used to be able to connect with Zoho without issues. In the past 2 weeks we can no longer connect to any PC's at one location - they all have the Unattended Access version installed, but when you Connect via web or desktop app the connection just stays on 'You'll be able to access the remote computer shortly'. Access to our other sites is possible as normal. Any ideas on how to resolve this, please? Example session key=724952820 and key=979388846
noticeable delay in remote control session
Hi guys, setup a trial today and I have a question regards the speed of remote control, there is a big response lag between an input and seeing it take effect. Im based in the UK and on a 380mb connection and client (also in the UK) is on a 75MB connection so speeds are healthy. Ill always be controlling PCs within the UK - can you check im on the right server? and / or do you have desktop software for technician use rather than the browser method? John
Pass "Windows key" to unattendant Client
Hello We like to use Zoho Assist to manage remote "Digital Signage Clients". On this Clients the only way to go out of the full-Screen Application is to hit the "Windows Key" on the Keyboard. How can I pass the Window Key to the remote Client..? Is there any Shortcut..? Regards Beat
meaning and cause of Error 5
have a customer that we are trying to connect with and upon trying to run the application they are getting failed to join session error 5 they are currently still running on Windows 7. trying to find the cause
X out of sessions
Can I enable using the top right X to close sessions? I have found that if I reboot a computer I have to close the entire program to close that one session.
No file transfer
I am on the paid standard plan but when I try to initiate a file transfer at an unattended site I get an dialog box saying I am in free plan and to buy upgrade.
MAJOR MAC BUG!!! UNINSTALL RIGHT AWAY!
two of our computers just went on a crazy reboot loop. we couldnt figure it out and kept tryihng to boot in to safe mode to figure out what was causing it. finally uninstalling the unattended zoho assist app resolved the issue and our mac was able to boot up properly. now im scared but have to check all our clients computers and see if they are going through the same issues. this is a major blunder !!!
Failed to join session - Windows
Hi, We keep getting an error message saying "Failed to join remote session due to the following reason:" and then it doesn't give a reason (See attached screenshot.) We use folder redirection for our user files (documents, download, desktop etc.) which means a users download folder is stored on the network. It seems that running the ZA_Connect.exe file from a network location returns the attached error code. When we run the ZA_Connect.exe file from a local disk such as a usb stick it works fine.
Chat is broken
He guys, chat is malfunctioning. When I start a text chat then move the window back so I can have full screen, I am no longer able to chat. The conversation history is not displayed and I have to type in the clients chat. At first I thought this was an issue with my browser however it's happened on two separate computers that I use. Just giving you a heads up. Thanks.
Assist Remote Support Error
I have one client that I use ZOHO Assist to connect with. It worked fine for me on several previous occasions but for some reason now whenthey try to download and run the ZOHO Assist connection app they get the following error: Failed to join session due to the following reason: 6Any suggestions?
"Sorry, Unable to contact server"
Not used Zoho Assist for a while, but yesterday I was unable to start a session After clicking on the "Start Session" blue button, after several seconds there is a popup "Sorry, Unable to contact server"
Mac screen resolution
Hi, Has anyone else noticed that switching to Fit to Screen doesn't work when remotely accessing a Mac? The image of the host screen remains small - and text is not readable. Host is a 27" iMac. Remote workstations have been Mac or PC. In the past, the screen information could be increased/magnified by clicking Fit to Screen - but it has stopped working when the host is Mac. Any suggestions on making this work again? I've uninstalled and downloaded & re-installed the unattended access software.
Program Windows and Start Menu/Toolbar Freeze When Remoting In
We are currently on the trial version of Unattended Access testing for our company. We have encountered a major issue where sometimes when remoting in we cannot manipulate any of the program windows, click on the start icon or anything on the toolbar. However, you can open things on the desktop but once they are open you cannot control it. Using the Quick Launch option we are able to open apps like control panel among other things...but cannot do anything with the open window. We have found a workaround
Can we get technician Permissions on the Roadmap?
As an MSP, we need the ability to control which client computers our technicians can access. The lack of this feature prevents us using Zoho Assist more fully. Here are some very common reasons why this feature is needed: Security concerns may only permit 1 technician to access confidential information. The stems from the security principal of least privilege. Technicians work on specific accounts. We don't grant them access to ALL of our client's computers. We do not want a 1st tier technician
Zoho Assist - Fedora - Locking Machine/Cannot Reconnect
Hi Guys We are currently in-trial with Zoho Assist, hoping to utilise the Unattended Access feature to work remotely on Fedora PCs. However, we have ran into the following problem; If the Fedora machine is locked (session locked, like WIN+L in Windows) from within the session, the machine is locked and then disconnected, and it is not possible to reconnect. Zoho Assist Desktop.exe not terminating / leaving orphaned instances
I am having an issue with the Zoho Assist Desktop.exe (64bit). When the app launches it creates 4 Instances of Zoho Assist - Desktop.exe in Task Manager. When I hit Close by "X" Out in the upper right corner, 2 of the instances are terminated but 2 instances remain. Subsequent launches of the product create 4 more instances and orphan 2 of the instances on close. On a Busy workday I could have 4-10 orphaned instances of Zoho Assist - Desktop.exe in Task Manager, each chewing up memory and resources.
Varying ESCAPE key functionality in Assist
In Full Screen mode the ESCAPE key takes you out of Full Screen mode. I know this is typical behavior but its really annoying because the ESCAPE key is used often. When not in Full Screen mode the ESCAPE key goes to the application. Thank GOD for that. Zoho should have a screen where you define the control key handling.

New UI unattended list MUCH more difficult to navigate / find computers
This is my first post here. We've been using unattended access for about 1.5 years now. We have close to 100 computers in roughly 15 groups. Used to be easy, just scroll down the groups list, which was always on. Now, I have to use a drop down just to see the groups, and it's not as easy to navigate/scroll, find, and select the group. I assumed that over time, we would get used to it, like when Hulu changed it's UI, but nope, it's just a PITA every time. Can we maybe get an acknowledgment that
Unattended Access stopped working on all our Macs
We have a small marketing firm, and we use the Unattended access to remotely install updates and roll out new items when our employees are gone in the evenings. Everything has been working fine, until the most recent update to the Zoho Assist. It shows all computers are offline. We have removed them and had them reinstall the new download package, they will then popup in my Unattended Access list, but it still shows them as off line. Unattended Installer with msi Extension for Group Policy Mass Installation
When the unattended installer has an MSI extension, it can be rolled out with native Group Policy in a domain. The EXE version cannot be (that I am aware of).
New Unattended Access - Move to group
It's really annoying to have to select the computers you want in a group in the settings. Can you please have the ability to move computers. Additionally is it possible to move computers into different departments?
End User UI needs an upgrade
I think it's about time you guys maybe upgraded the end user UI to look a little more professional. Times New Roman font looks cheap. When we have lovely Live Chat showing custom agent icons etc and lovely fonts, I'd like to see this on the customers computer when carrying out remote support. Just a suggestion.
iOS issue on iPad
Hi I tried the iOS app on my iPhone 7 plus and my iPad air2 both are on iOS 11 iPhone worked ok, but iPad said it was sharing but nothing showed on the web page any clues? Kevin
Logging off user in server 2012 closes Assist session
I some times need to log users off a RDP server, When i log them off, 9 out of 10 times it logs me off the Assist session. Real pain if I need to do a few users or need to do something right after and I have to log back in tot he unattended session.
Ability To Record A Session
I was wondering if Zoho assist premium has or will have the ability to record the session. Perhaps save to local HDD when session is ended, or start/stop recording as required. If its not a feature could it be added? Thanks,
Remote Support for mobile devices
I'm testing out the Zoho Assist free version for an ad-hoc service. One of my clients would like me to be able to assist her with her mobile device, but the free version says I need to upgrade in order to do that. Which version would I need in order to support iOS and Android devices? I never need unattended support.
Can't type latin characters Mac x Windows
I access a Win XP machine using Chrome on Mac OS X High Sierra and I can't get special characters like á é ó â ê ô ã õ à í ú to work. I tried a few different keyboard layout setups, but nothing worked. I end up having to type a lot of stuff in a local notepad for further copy and paste, which is not convenient at all. Am I missing anything? How can I make this work? Thanks.
Be able to add On Demand Remote sessions to unattended access
While I am pushing this out company wide, being able to add a computer I connected in to via On Demand Remote would be helpful for PC's out in the field.
Waiting for customer consent to transfer files
Trying to send file to customer computer that is set up for Unattended Access. Message " Waiting for customer consent to transfer files" appears. What did I do wrong with the setup?

Please export all necessary information and download essential session recordings from Reports to avoid losing data. You can export data from Reports as a CSV or PDF file by clicking Export as in the top right corner. To download the session recording, click Download beside the session whose recording you need to download. If you have questions about how to backup data, please contact us at support@zohoassist.com.
Silent Pre-Install for Run as a Service Mode
Hello, We are in need of a silent pre-install that we can run during our PC imaging process in order to pre-install the service for Run as a Service mode so that it is not necessary to upgrade to run as a service each time we connect to a user's PC for the first time. This would save us several minutes per support session, which is quite a big deal in terms of saving both ourselves and the employees we are supporting time. Every bit of time we take away from them by taking longer to resolve issues
Assist Desk Integration
Not sure if this should be a Zoho Desk topic or Assist but..... Whilst you can edit the email templates that go out to customers from Desk, when you initiate a remote session from within Desk, there is no way to customize that email. I would like to be able to customize that email. 90% of my remote invites are sent via Desk. Thanks.
