Just Tooooo Cumbersome
Just took a "test drive" of your CRM. It's like ACT!, and other popular CRMs, ....and like them, it's just too cumbersome for a salesguy to really use. What we really need is the function of a spreadsheet, BUT with the ability to show fields where we want them on the screen, instead of just in rows/columns; also a few other features, but not many. 2 major problems, 1 annoyance
I have 2 issues that are forcing me to look at other CRM options and 1 that isn't crucial but very annoying. First the big ones. 1. On our customers form we have several custom fields. If we create an invoice (which also has custom fields) for that customer everything works fine. If we are viewing that invoice and click on the link to view the Customer information, the values in the custom fields are eliminated. This is really bad. 2. We have some products that we've added. additional users do not receive a password
We are trial testing the subscription version of zohocrm ( ZoHo CRM On Demand). We have created 2 additional users with valid emails. They never received an email with a password. Even when we reset the password, there is no email sent. When we log in with their Zoho ID, and we indicate we lost our password, the application recognizes the Zoho ID and even the question to generate the password. But again the email does not arrive. Can someone tell us what to do to obtain these password? Jan Vandebroek

Mass mail - Unchecked Leds
When I deselect rows they appear along with the next 99 leads. I should have a option to keep adding such unchecked leads to another folder or so in the same page from where I will review later to send another type of mail or not lshankar

Saving a previously saved report
Whenever I open a previously saved report, and customize the criteria, and then save it, it wipes out ALL the critieria. I have to re-create the report again and re-save it with the same name. But before I do this I have to delete the existing report because then it creates two reports with the same name and I can't tell the two apart. rex

CRM on demand - Invoice number
Ok for the automatic numbering of the invoices. On the Invoice printable page the field can be renamed Ref. No instead of Invoice No and an extra field can be added as Invoice No for the Invoice number to be entered by the user. Customizing Invoices
In the Invoice section, I am trying to take out 3 categories from the Invoice Creator: Units in Stock, Unit Price and Product Code. Access Control
I am really interested in deploying Zoho (i.e. becoming a paying customer) for our firm; however there seems to be a bug with Access Control. I have cloned the Standard User Role and modified the new role's Data Level Permission to "Admin only...". This seems to work (in that it restricts the user's view/edit capabilities to items that they are the "Owner" on) in all modules except for the Contacts module. Defining the mail server in the on-demand version.
It seems that most mail sent out by Zoho On-Demand is flagged as junk. Is there a way possibly to configure our own mail server in the on demand version? I'm sure it's a feature that people would be willing to pay for....

Lead Assignment rule not working with custom field.
Setup a hidden value on the web-to-lead form, called "assignmentval". Created custom field in the lead module named "assignmentval". Put small section of PHP code in the web to lead form to generate a random number of 1-20 for assignmentval. The values pass correctly, 1 through 20, totally random from lead to lead. Great. Created assignment rule (named random), first rule is if assignment val is <= 10, assign to user A. 2nd rule was if assignmentval>=11, assign to user B. All leads are being assigned
Auto Tasks
Is it possible to automatically assign a task for FOLLOW-UP based on the date a lead comes in. For instance, I would like every lead that is entered to automatically generate a task for Follow-up by a set amount of days, like 2 weeks later. Thanks for your help.
Data Import question
I have some contact data to import, and one of the fields in my excel file is "Salutation" which contains things like "Mr." "Mrs." and "Dr." While this field exists in Zoho CRM, and a picklist is visible under Leads and Contacts when I create or edit same, I do not see it in the field mapping under importing. Is this by design or is it an oversight? I also don't see the ability to edit the picklist under Setup: Fields Lists. Any help would be appreciated! Cass ctyson

email notification when new web leads come in?
I'm wondering if there's some way to enable an email notification when there is a new web lead. right now, i have to remember to go to zohocrm.com periodically to see if any new leads have come in. i even enabled the "approve web leads" option under Setup->Lead settings->Approve web leads, thinking that this would send an email to me when a new lead needed to be approved. thanks, nate Nate Aune
