Line Spacing
I am new to zoho writer - when I create a new document or either open an existing document - everything is double spaced. I tried changing the line spacing to single but still nothing happens do you know what I can do to change this double spacing format?
My tabs have stopped working!
In my saved documents, they have disappeared, and the documents which rely heavily on them are a mess. The settings show on the ruler but have no effect. Pressing the Tab key does nothing, though the key works fine in other applications. They show perfectly well in some prior versions; if I revert, however, I create a new version with text and all other formatting OK, but the tabs are not effective. Help!
Firefox compatibility and Safari compatibility in writer
Every time I edit a document and save it in either firefox or safari it changes the formating to something I didn't do. It is very messy. Any suggestions?
Problem with shared document
It seems there is a huge problem in sharing a document. When I open a document shared between four collegues the document is empty, when another collegue open the document it shows up as it should and when a third collegue open it he gets the content with a lot of internal codes. Can't share a document.
I've tried to share several documents with different people and they have all been unable to access the files. One said she didn't have permission even though I gave her read/write permission and the other two say that a error box comes up saying the file could not be found. Help please?

terribly slow, why?
I haven't logged in for several weeks. I use my account for small creative writing projects, and haven't had the time. But, what happened? I remember the interface being virtually as solid as a desktop word processor. Not anymore. It's terribly sluggish. If I type fast - and I do - I'm stopped to wait for the words to catch up. I'm on a current version of SRWare Iron, based on the identical code-base as Google Chrome. I'm not going to change browsers. Please let me know this is a known problem, being

exporting documents in other formats
for some reason when i export my documents in pdf format they usually appear in pdf the same as the original. but when i export in rtf, doc and others the formatting changes, and I don't really understand why
unable to load saved files in writer
Using public library computers, and my own laptop, for several weeks have been unable to access my writer text files. browsers are window explorer and foxfire. screen just displays "loading" and never loads. last file saved was about magic jack. After saving, was able to re-load and further edit that same day, but no luck with any files since then. Tried compatibility mode. Made no difference. Do not care to try any new documents for fear they will be locked out too.
Line Spacing
The single spacing between lines is to large, it is almost indistinguishable from the double spacing. I even went into the "Page Setup" menu and changed the spacing yet it changed nothing.
Uploaded doc file suddenly empty. Lost forever or is there a backup? How to recover?
I uploaded a MSWord doc*, opened it with Zoho Writer, edited it and saved with from Zoho Writer ... this worked fine several times, but now the file content is gone, has disappeared. Opening with Zoho Writer prompts "Problem with server!" Downloading it as MSWord and opening it shows empty file. Availing HTML 5 in place of Google Gears for off-line features
The Google Gears plug-in (for offline Web Apps) is identified as not compatible with Firefox 3.6 and disabled automatically. This is to be expected, since Google has given up on Gears now that Firefox and others are supporting the HTML 5 offline Web App APIs directly. Will Zoho utilize HTML 5 and thus avail off-line Writer features for G3 Macs (lots in schools!) which are Gears incompatible? Keep up the great work! Jim in Queens New York
Comments feature--color of highlighted text
The comments feature is great. But I hate that PINK color that the highlighted text changes to. Is there any way to change that? Thank you David Huston
Table Locked in document
There is a table locked that no one else can work on and it doesn't appear that anyone is currently editing it. How do I break the lock as the document owner? casey.gaughra

Issue with comments
Hi, Excellent tool. Well done! Just a quick pointer to one bug. When I highlight some text and insert comment on it, on exporting back to doc, it actually looses the original highlighted text. The words simple disappear. Though the comment still stays. Could you please try and fix this? Great work again and thanks for keeping it free! Cheers. Abhi
So poor qualityof Latvian spellchecker - SO many words are not recognized
So poor quality of Latvian spellchecker - SO many generic words are not recognized, like "lūdzu" please, almost 10-15% of 100% correct text are red lines, that are mostly very generic words! where did you get such Latvian spellchecker tool? It is just impossible to write any text in Zoho Writer, means no use of Zoho, as Zoho Witer is starting point. So sad.
Using Writer in Mac OS X Snow Leopard
Just taking a look at SOHO Writer. It appears that the offline mode does not work in any browser on Mac OS X. This renders it pretty useless for Mac users, I guess. Pity - looks nice. Cheers, Mike
The New Writer: Put the document picker back!
Really? Did you guys really remove the awesome easy document picker from the new Zoho writer??? Now we have to go through the rigamarole of extra navigation to get to our files... Just like word. For crying out loud. That document picker was awesome and now there is just wasted space to the left of the document.
Review Tab is missing in Writer Remote API

There is the following bug when 2 people A and B work on the same document: A enters text and presses twice return (e.g. to separate 2 paragraphes) and then continues to enter text. B will see what A typed but without the empty line separating the 2 text fragments (paragraphes).

Writer Skips to Beginning of Document
When working on a document with a collaborator. All of a sudden it skips back to the beginning of the document. This is very irritating and takes time to get back to where we were. Why is it doing this and what is the solution? Thank you.
Vanishing parts of files
My co writer is working in windows 7 and accessing zoho through his AOL account. He works on the file for a while, everything seems fine, he saves the file and closes it. When he opens it, some of it is missing. What is going on? Thank you
Versioning problem when a doc is left open by a collaborator
I'm running into a versioning problem when collaborating with Zoho Writer. The basic situation is this: there may be several of us editing/reviewing a doc simultaneously. Call it version 1.0. One person walks away from his computer but leaves his browser window open with Zoho Writer open to the doc that we're editing. I make changes to the doc and save it, and it saves as version 1.1 -- but it appears that the computer/browser belonging to the person who has walked away from their computer goes into
Formatting Errors
I used the Zoho app on Box.net but it had numbering and bulleting glitches. Fix these glitches please. In the mean time, I'll be using the Live Documents app. I was going to attach an example of the problem but it froze up on IE 8 (the library is outdated)
Unable to Generate Paginated View issue
I use mail merge to merge data from Zoho CRM to a Zoho Writer document. It's been working totally fine for months and now I have started receiving this message after selecting the template: Unable generate paginated view. Switching to fixed width view. If I click ok the formatting of tables in the document go all out of alignment and there's no way of successfully reformatting. Why has this happened and how can the problem be rectified. Thanks
Hypens on page number
Hello, When I add the page number auto field, it automatically comes with hyphens on either side of the number. How can I remove such hyphens? I just want the autofield to show the current page number without those hyphens. Anybody writing a paper according to the MLA format will have issue with this, and not having the hyphens wouldn't affect those who like them as it is trivial to add them later. Joseph

Pagination & Print as PDF option of documents in Writer
Folks, Zoho Writer in its recent update has introduced the new feature of "Pagination" as well as "Print as PDF" option. Earlier, users were complaining of not having the feature to view the many number of pages their documents contained in Zoho Writer. No Vertical Scrolling in Writer
Why is there no vertical scrolling in Writer? I.e. no vertical ruler or scroll bar. Am I missing something?
