4. Guidelines for publishing apps on Marketplace

Below are the basic points to keep in mind before sending an application for approval in Zoho Marketplace. Please ensure that your application:
  1. Is in a consumable state, without errors
  2. Isn't tailored to a specific client
  3. Has an in-app help page that describes how to use the application
  4. Has secure Deluge scripts
  5. Doesn't have any hard-coded scripts specific to any user or unnecessary scripts, to avoid performance issues
  6. Has a clear name that's directly related to the functioning of the app
  7. Preferably has a landing dashboard inside the application, so users can easily navigate the app

5. Steps to create and submit an app

Notes
Note: Only the super admin of an account can create an application, submit it for review, and manage it on Zoho Marketplace.

5.1 Creating an app

You can start creating applications in Developer Console by following the steps mentioned on the Create and Manage apps page. Once the app is created, you can continue to add developers to your account to assist with its development. When the application is ready for Marketplace listing, you can follow the steps below.

5.2 Submitting an app to Marketplace

Notes
Note: If you haven't set up your company profile in the Partner console, start by setting it up, as this is a prerequisite to publishing apps to Marketplace.
  1. Navigate to Marketplace under the DEPLOY section in the left pane of your Developer Console account.

  2. Click + Submit an App to select the app you want to publish to Marketplace.

If you have already submitted an app to Marketplace before, click the + Submit an App button in the top-right corner to submit more applications.

  3. Choose the application that you want to submit in the Submit to Marketplace pop-up and click Next.

  4. Notes
Note: All the apps will be listed in the dropdown. Select the apps that are published to stage environment and can be submitted to Zoho Marketplace. Only the latest stage version of the application can be distributed to Marketplace.
  5. Enter the details required to submit the app to Marketplace in the pop-up that follows. You will be taken to the Marketplace page.

Make sure you follow the prerequisites before submitting the app for review.
Once the application has been submitted for Marketplace review, further changes to the app cannot be published to stag until the review is completed by the Marketplace team.
Once the review is complete and your application is approved, it'll be listed on the Marketplace. In other cases, your application may have one of the following statuses, depending on which the next course of action can be taken.

The required changes can then be made to the app. You can communicate directly with the Zoho Marketplace team, and manage feedback or requests related to your applications, from there.
- The detailed status of your apps can be viewed on the Marketplace Partner console.

5.4 Publish updates to approved Marketplace apps

To publish an update to an application:

  1. Navigate to Marketplace under the DEPLOY section in the left pane of your account. The Marketplace Application page will appear.

  1. Click the Submit New Version button available beside the application that you wish to update.

Once the submitted app with the updates is approved by Marketplace, the new version will be published. This new version will replace the old version on Zoho Marketplace and will then be available for users.
