Domains - Overview
Associating the domains you own with Zoho Directory is a crucial step in setting up your Zoho Directory organization. It helps your organization's branding and simplifies employee onboarding.
Benefits of associating a domain with Zoho Directory
- Unification: Zoho Directory serves as a centralized domain console, from which you can directly manage all your domains created across different products of Zoho and also view any information related to a domain, like its domain info, apps associated with it, email authentication status, mail hosting records' status, and their values. Thus, the tediousness of configuring a domain separately in every app a user uses is eliminated with adding and verifying it once and for all in Zoho Directory.
Unification is currently for the following Zoho apps: CRM, Forms, Assist, Analytics, Projects, Campaigns, and Marketing Automation. Support for more apps will be introduced in the future updates. - Easy enrollment: Irrespective of where a domain is originally hosted, if you add and verify it in Zoho Directory, you can seamlessly add employees/users to your organization as confirmed users with a domain-based email address and avoid waiting for pending users to accept your invitation.
- Custom sender email address: You can set up a sender email of your own accord in Zoho Directory and utilize it in the associated apps to send marketing and sales emails, promotional emails from your organization. - Password reset: Force a password reset for any user who has their primary email domain verified.
- Mail aliases: Easily reach all members of a group by assigning a domain-based email alias for any users individually or in groups.

- Mail hosting: Make collaborating with other Zoho apps easier by hosting your organization's mailboxes with Zoho Mail.
