Profiles in Zoho One - Overview
After enrolling devices with Zoho One, you can create and associate them with profiles. Profiles are used to impose policies (such as passcode, Wi-Fi, and VPN policies) to configure the device, and restrictions (such as camera and app restrictions) to control how the device is used.
The available
profile configurations
differ for Android and iOS platforms.

Scenario 1

Users must unlock their device only by using a pattern.

Users must not capture the screen within their 'work profile' (which is a separate space for corporate use created on the user's personal device).
Solution in Zoho One:

Create an Android-specific profile
, then do the following:

Configure a

with pattern lock enabled.

Restrictions
, go to
Device Functionality
, then select
Restrict
for
Screen Capture
.

Publish the profile.

Associate the published profile
with the device.
Scenario 2
Device type

Corporate
(owned by the organization)

: iOS
Your requirement

Users must only access your company's websites (For example:
one.zylker.com

one.zylker.biz
) on their browsers.

Users must only connect to the company's secured Wi-Fi network.
Solution in Zoho One:

Create an iOS-specific profile
, then do the following:

Configure a
web content filter policy
with only your company's URLs allowlisted.
-
Configure a
Wi-Fi policy
with details of your company's network and proxy settings.
-
In Restrictions, go to
Networking and Roaming
, then select
Yes
for
Connect to Wi-Fi, only if distributed via MDM
.

Publish the profile.
-
Associate the published profile
to the device.
As a best practice for corporate devices, you can configure a profile and associate it to enrolled devices before distributing them to your employees. If you do that, the policies and restrictions configured within that profile are applied to devices, from the moment they are handed out to employees.

A typical profile management flow is represented below:

Associating a profile with a group is particularly helpful when you want
to impose policies and restrictions on devices based on the users'
roles and privileges.

Modify profile
|
Modify an existing profile (if required) and then associate the upgraded profile to devices/groups.
|
|
Disassociate the profile from devices/groups, if you no longer want the
policies and restrictions of that profile to be applied to them.
