IP Address From Windows Matching Different than IP showing in Ipconfig
When I show the added user ip address is starts with 76. Through the dos cmd I show 192. which is the address of the router. Where is Zoho getting the ip address from my windows 7 machine?. The reason why I ask is I want to develop an application based on ip addresses in an office so only the machine's in the office can connect to the app. I basically want to build a list of ip addresses in Zoho and test the incoming ip to ensure it's on the Zoho data base. Application backup and recovery of a View
Hi, my Application Backup cannot complete the process. Help. Also I duplicate a view, but when I check for it I realize that this view was cancelled. Probably for slow connection and slow explorer display options. Now, how do I do to have another view for the form Solita_documentos. I cannot generate another view for this form. Hi, I am using a view, to show a creator table, embedded via iframe in a webpage. If I click on 'View' for a particular record, it is displayed in a white box and the iframe is filled with a lightbox effect. Is it possible to disable the lightbox at all? Thanks
Hiding some fields of the form in a web page
I made a form in zoho creator and I am going to embed this form in my website, so I can collect data from my customers, but I don't want to show all of the fields of the form in the web page. For example if I have 10 fields in the form, I want to embed just 6 of them in the web page (I want to be able to hide 4 other fields from customer) and I will be updating those 4 fields later by editing the view of the form. how can I hide some fields of the form in a web page?

I created a small membership form/database on Zoho, then I shared it with myself (my work address) so that I might enter my work profile into the database but it expected me to register. Does it not allow my database to be used by other unsubscribed users or did I do something wrong?
Feature request: longer alert time
Hi there, I am building an application that is to be used by not so computer literate people, some of them elderly and hence slow in reading. My customized alert messages (like "You have entered the wrong password. Try again") now appear only very briefly, and many people in my test group don't catch them in time. Entering new records with same first name
Hi, I am having an issue with adding new records to a table when the first name is the same as a record that already exists. Situation: Table A has firstname = Emily & lastname = Ping Table B has a lookup field to pull in the firstname + lastname (Emily Ping) from Table A I am able to enter new records in Table A that have the same firstname = Emily with a different last name...say lastname = Richardson However, when I try to make a new entry in Table B for 'Emily Richardson' it automatically changes
Backups
When I try a simple backup, and select the SPREADSHEET format, I get nothing that I can use. In the past it would ask for location to save the file, but now I am immediately kicked out, and I can see a file that ZOHO prepared, but it only contains 2 lines (appears to be the first and the last). None of the hundreds in the middle. I cannot find that file anywhere on my hard drive. With all the changes being made recently to ZOHO, It makes me nervous that I cannot backup any of my several databases.
Creator Loading Slowly in Google Chrome
All of my forms and views are loading extremely slow in Google Chrome (2-3 minutes per form or view). I have tried closing down Chrome and restarting, but forms are still loading very slowly. When I load these same forms in Firefox, the forms and views are loading quickly.
Handling substring error
Hi, I use substring(0, 4) to extract the first 4 charaters in the Last_NAME field But when the person enters a name like John Doe, I get an error telling ( it is supposed to extract 4, but only 3 is available) -- fair enough. Anyway i can bypass this error. Thank you, Regards Deepa

Hi I have a view which contains details of clinical trials. I have created custom function buttons for each record. I would like for the user to click on the custom function "Add Recruitment" and the form "accrual log" opens, so that the user can enter their details. The form "accrual log" does open, and I have managed to put a date stamp on the "on load" script of the form. What the form is not doing is prepopulating the fields in "accrual log" with the information from the Recruitment view. I

Recovering Deleted Data
Hi, One of our well-meaning staff members went into our Zoho Creator database and deleted a dozen or so records. This happened about a week and a half ago (November 18 or 19). She thought she could simply add them in again later and all would be fine. Problem is these records were part of a relational database and now the hundreds of links between these records (they are "users" in our system) are gone. I tried using Zoho docs for a couple of months and it really didnt have what I needed. I now use Dropbox which is great. What I want to be able to do is create URL fields that link to files stored on my dropbox account. Is this something you have on the roadmap or would consider. I want the link to be dynamically created so when I click the URL in Zoho the file just opens (assuming you are logged into Dropbox). Dropdown initial value doesn't work - select always displayed
Hello everybody, Just getting started with this kit, and fallen at first hurdle (APU). I'm trying to replace "select" with something more meaningful to the forms needs. Tried modding the initial value, but nothing changes (edit, options, appearance, initial value), neither does the value I entered appear anywhere (that i can see). Newbie question: to create a custom application for product price comparison
I'm wondering if anyone here can help me out here, please? I have not started using Zoho Creator, but based on reading what this application is about, I'm thinking that it may be a good platform to solve our problem. I would like to create an application to allow my staffs to record price comparison details. Sending mail to form does not apply form when using alias
I'm using one of the forms in Zoho Creator to 'mail' a response to the Creator Application so we - as a support organization - can easily track emails going back and forth. We are currently using the zoho email address associated with the form, but would like to use our own email request-update@company.com to forward to the zoho email address. Views can't display data of two identical subforms
Hi, I need to use two subforms in a same parent Form. Those two subforms use the same form (there's just one column displayed alternatively [Stock-in and stock-out for example]) All works fine, except in the views. To display subform data : it's displayed in one column and is concatenated (like this : SubFormData1SubFormData2), instead of two separated columns (SubFormData1 | SubFormData2). Even in XLS Export, I use exportDisplayData=false to have data in separate tabs, but it creates only one tab,

Is there a downloadable version of the scripting language? It is extremely difficult to determine an exact question that asks precisely what is being researched. For example, I have designed a form that has a dropdown with data from another form. I want it to display the dropdown information, but I also want other fields to populate based on the data selected from the dropdown box. Which plan should I get to start a business?
Hello, I plan to develop a baseline app and sell. Assuming each customer has 5 users, and there are 2 customers, A and B. Does that mean I'll duplicate my baseline app twice for them? If customer C requires customization, I'll duplicate baseline app and customize for them? So now I have 4 separate apps right? I would like to bill customer separately, and just give them user IDs and passwords to use the system. In other words, I'll be meeting prospects face to face or through phone to sell my app.
Print Views
It would be helpful to be able to select a record from List View and print the detail of that record in a nice format. Right now, I have to open it for editing, highlight the fields and then print selection. How about a print button on the record summary screen? A print button on every view that would popup a version formated for printing would be another nice option. I tried limiting the summary view to just one record, but it only works if that is the default view.

Shared App Not Displaying
I'm trying out the free version of Zoho Creator but I'm having big problems when I come to Share my app. I add a user, share the app with them, but when they go to the weblink all they see is two nested navigation bars and no content (screen shot attached). Makes no difference if they are set to be Users or Developers. Any and all help appreciated please! :) G
Strip out file attachments from database, leaving core data intact
Hi Zoho peeps! I know that you are download file attachments with the App you developed which works really well. However, when these files are downloaded, I want to be able to delete them from the database without having to go into each record one by one and do this. This will allow me to keep my records on and create an archive situation. Can this be done? Dave.
