Concurrent editing
Dear all I'm a lecturer at the Universidad Polit�cnica de Valencia (SPAIN) and I want my students to create their projects using an online collaborative word processor for their in-class & out-of-class assignments. The flat fact is that my choice is somewhere btw Writely and Zohowriter. I prefer Zohowirter but I'd like to know if my students can edit & work simultaneously on the same doc (during our lab sessions for instance). That's the most important thing for me, so far, (I'm not interested in

Is there anyway to add footnotes or end notes in this thing. thanks
Sharing
I set up 4 users to share my document with read-write privileges. However, when the person on the share lists accesses the document he/she had only read privileges. When I as the creator go back into the document and check sharing, I find that somehow without my intervention the privileges have been changed to read only. What is going on here? John
Export & email out don't work
Exporting to PDF and Word documents just opens a blank browser page, no PDF or Word document ever appears. I emailed out both a PDF and HTML to my email account, and haven't received either after an hour. I suspect these features are broken... I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.3 on Windows XP.
Can the document view window please be made taller?
Hi it's me again, and I have another feature request I'd like to suggest, please! The My Documents rounded window on the left of the main writing area is rather small. I'd prefer it to be quite a bit taller, or at least stretch the way the writing area does when I resize the window. Furthermore, the writing seems to cut off prematurely with long titles "..." so it doesn't even use up all the white space on the right. Is there a way to make the document titles smaller as well, so more text can fit
Cannot Paste

security
What's the security status of non-shared documents at Zoho? Will search engines or spiders be able to find them? Will the NSA be able to confiscate them? I know absolute security isn't possible on the web, but I'd like to keep most people away from my docs. Thanks
How do I use Publish with my blog?
Hi again! I've been using Zoho Writer some more. Of course I enjoy it, and look forward to its continued development. I've wanted to use Zoho Writer to publish directly to my blog, but can't seem to do it right. My blog is http://torley.com , on Blog-City.com, and it supports the Blogger API. Please make the Insert/Modify Link dialog bigger!
Hiyagain! I have a feature request please. The Insert/Modify Link dialog is so small. Pasting a long link in it makes it possible to only see small part of it at a time, which is inconvenient. :( Can the Insert/Modify Link dialog please be stretched out widthwise so there's more room to view the link? Page Setup
It would be convenient to have a page setup facility in Zoho Writer: adjustable margins, headers, footers, tabs, page breaks, etc. Having a page setup facility would make the printed documents look better. At present, documents printed from Zoho look strange, especially when any part of the text is centered.
invitations
Hi, I've been looking for an online word processor so that I can collaborate with a few people spread around the country. Zoho fits my needs, but I the invitation function doesn't seem to work. I'm using Firefox 1.5 on an iMacg5 running OS 10.4.6. Any suggestions? Ken
Unable to post to Blog
While posting to my Blogspot blog, Zoho Writer keeps returning "Invalid Username/Pwd" since yesterday. There aren't any commas/special characters in the blog title. I have three blogspot blogs configured, and one of them is a community blog. The problem didn't happen before but only since yesterday.
Gaming notation
I've been using ZohoWriter to create notations for a role-playing game wherever I have internet access. It's a nice way to be able to add some material from work, for instance ;) I enjoy it, and I think it's got a good feature set - I'm sure I'll find somethings I want added in the future, but it's good for my needs right now.
Absence of Space Between Paragraphs
When I try publishing posts on my blogger account using zoho writer my posts get published with out any space between them.when i go and try editing my posts on blogger i find that despite having space between the paragraphs, the html code for the same don't have any tags . for instance this is how my post looks in the compose mode Lok paritran has been generating a lot of buzz ever since it was founded by a bunch of idealists.The buzz,as most of you would have realised by now,is because of the IIT
Is there a size limit on ZohoWriter files?
I'm just wondering if anybody knows the size limit (number of words or KB) of Zoho Writer files, or if there's a point at which they get a little wonky. Thanks!
Cannot Login
I have been unable to login into ZohoWriter for the last few hours. It claims that my account doesn't exist when I entered my email in "Forgot your password?", and I even tryed "demo@zohowriter.com" for "Forgot your password?", which didn't work either. Is this problem temporary?
File Import
File Import would keep running forever when I tried to import ToDo.htm . I renamed the file on my computer to ToDo.html and it worked just fine. You might need to accept more filename extensions in the case of HTML documents.
Export of Docs does not work
I am getting an error when trying to export a word doc to either word or pdf. No info is given to me, just that it had an error and to contact zoho
E-mailing in docs not working?
How long before I could see the docs I e-mailed in? I'm assuming that these docs will appear on My Documents list. This feature does not seem to be working. I e-mailed .doc files from Office 2003.

I found this site off Yahoo. It was easy to register, but it needs more fonts!!! :(
Problem Sharing read write access for several people

Integrating with CRM software (data merging)
Hi, The writer looks cool. Wondering if it is possible to merge with a data source e.g. from a CRM software program so making a new document with the right address, name etc already filled in and saved for one's convenience. With Word (and other writers) it is possible to merge with a data source. With Word it is possible to "even" save it directly using COM technology. I was wondering if it is possible to connect in one way or another with ZOHO writer.
Log In Problems
I am having problems logging in. When I do it goes to the loading page where the percent bar is in the upper left of the screen. It's normally supposed to be in the middle. I've tried IE, and Firefox, same problem. The loading bar just sits there at zero and the page stops. Broswer is not frozen though. I have JRE 5 v6.
Zoom
I think that a very useful addition would be to be able to zoom in/out while editing.

Adding hyperlink to images already on the web doesn't work
This looks like a bug for sure. REPRO: Click the "Insert/Modify Image" button on the toolbar. Paste in an URL of an image already on the web, e.g. http://www-ucdmag.ucdavis.edu/su02/graphics/watermelon.jpg Click OK. OBSERVED: Image is broken. EXPECTED: Image should display properly. The only way I've found around this is to drag, copy-and-paste an image from the source page itself into Zoho Writer. This happens in Firefox 1.5.0.2.
Special characters on HTML export and Quotation Marks
You HTML export has some major lacks Your are replacing the Ampersand "&"-letter in HTML with & But if I�m using am simple quote "" it is exported with a plain ". My use of Zoho Writer
I have been working on a novel and some short stories. I've been looking for a way to work on them anywhere I go. I found Writely, but am still waiting for them to open registration. Then I found Zoho and have been using it a few days now. Overall I like Zoho. I have found a number of bugs, but that's to be expected with a Beta product.
Problems with bookmarklet
I've been having problems with the bookmarklet feature. When I drag it onto a page, I get a popup asking me to log in. Once I log in, it acts like it is uploading the file to Zoho, but all I get is a blank document. I've tried this with several webpages with no luck.
Need a way to close all documents
Hi, when I log into Zohowriter, it shows me the last document I had open. I can open other documents into the tabbed interface, and can close all of them but one. Is there no way to close the last document?
Headers and Footers
I will be looking to use this programme for standard operating procedures ,consequently a header and footer section is very important to me. This allows me to indicate who prepared the procedure, the issue and revision dates, Subject , etc. I saw the programme for the first time today so maybe this features is present and I missed it. Only creator of a doc can publish?
Hi, zoho's great but it's a real disappointment that a document created by me cannot be published to a blog by someone I have given read/write access to. Is there any plan to change this, or a workaround?

Footnotes please
Congrats on zoho-writer, it is a fantastic tool. Maybe I'm an idiot and just can't see it, but it doesn't seem like there is a footnote feature in zoho. As a student, this is a bit of a deal-breaker for me. It would be pretty simple to add a basic footnote function, similar to the one in MSWord. But it would be great to see something a bit more advanced for those of us who spend more time writing footnotes than text. Is there a way to get the tool bar off the top and bottom the paper when printing it? Also is it already double spaced or how do you do that?
Thesaurus
I think a thesaurus would be a nice addition to Zoho. You could right-click on any word and it would load a list of synonyms.
problem with accents?
In one shared document some people's texts appear scrambled when they use accents (Portuguese) and others aren't. Can anyone help me understand why that would be? Cheers, Beverly
Changing cells in tables
I've been using your table function, but I'm trying to create a table that I can type text into, without the table borders moving. Everytime I start typing, the borders start shifting to the right. Is there a simple way to create a table and set all the cells so that they're a fixed size horizontally, while having them expand vertically to accommodate more lines of typing.
