As we enter the second half of 2023, we are excited to showcase some of the newest features and updates that we rolled out for Cliq in the last two months (May and June):
Assign Cliq's paid licenses to specific users:
When faced with a scenario where the number of users exceeds the available licenses, you now have the flexibility to determine which users will receive paid licenses and which will have free access. This allocation process is conveniently managed through the admin panel, specifically by accessing the user listing. The admin panel serves as a centralized interface where administrators can view and modify user details and permissions. By leveraging the user listing section within the admin panel, administrators can make informed decisions about license distribution based on factors such as user roles, subscription plans, seniority, or any other relevant criteria. This ensures that critical users or those willing to pay for the service are prioritized while still offering free access to others.
Call conversion from Cliq bar:
The Cliq bar in Zoho Cliq has received an enhancement that introduces a valuable feature. Users can now convert one-to-one calls attended from the Cliq bar directly into group calls, all without having to leave the Cliq bar interface. This new functionality allows for a seamless transition from individual conversations to group discussions without any interruptions. By simply initiating a one-to-one call from the Cliq bar, users can easily invite additional participants and transform it into a group call, thereby promoting collaboration and facilitating efficient communication. This enhancement streamlines the process of transitioning between different call types, saving users time and effort by eliminating the need to switch between interfaces or applications.
ChatGPT extension v2
ChatGPT extension just got a major upgrade to version 2, and it's like giving it a superhero cape! We've tightened security and given admins some serious control. Get ready for a safer and more powerful chatting experience.
- ChatGPT Widget: With the new widget for ChatGPT, you have the ability to configure the extension and make changes to the authentication mode and update the token.
- Admins can now assign and distribute tokens purchased by the organization to specific users or groups.
- Better data security: Any data submitted via our APIs will not be used to train or improve OpenAI's models.
- ChatGPT now takes into account the context by passing the last 5 messages to the bot to provide more relevant and contextual responses.
New date and time format:
We've introduced new customization options for your calendar view. Now you can choose which day of the week takes the spotlight at the beginning of your calendar, tailored to your workweek structure. Additionally, we've added the flexibility to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats, allowing you to align your calendar display with your preferred time convention. These enhancements provide greater control over how you organize and view your schedule, making it more personalized and efficient for you.
Create and manage events:
The new events tab in Cliq mobile empowers you to effortlessly plan and manage your day on the go. With this feature, you can create and organize events directly from your phone, ensuring you stay on top of your schedule wherever you are.
Desktop app support discontinued for versions below Windows 8.1:
We've had to bid farewell to Windows 8.1 and its lower companions in our Cliq desktop app. Unfortunately, the app and the operating systems weren't compatible dance partners. We've had to discontinue support for them due to security reasons. For the nitty-gritty details, check out this
forum post. Don't worry though, we're still grooving just fine with the rest of the Windows crew!
Deleting conversations as an admin:
Attention, channel administrators! We've got exciting news for you. Now, you have the power to delete messages sent by other participants in your channels. You can specify a reason for deleting the message, promoting transparency and accountability in content moderation. Say goodbye to unwanted or inappropriate content with confidence, knowing that you're in control.
Unread message summary:
On the mobile app, users now have the convenience of obtaining a summary of their unread messages within a specific chat, eliminating the need to read through the entire conversation. By simply clicking on the magic wand icon located on the side of the chat, users can quickly access the summary, saving valuable time and gaining a comprehensive overview of the discussion's key points.
Malware detection in files:
For our Android users, we've added an extra layer of protection to shield you from malicious files. Now, when you upload a file via the app, it undergoes a secret undercover mission—a background scan to uncover any lurking malware. If we detect any signs of infection, an alert notification pops up, revealing the file's true colors. Stay one step ahead of cyber threats and make informed decisions when sharing files.
Multicultural emojis:
Get ready to express yourself like never before with the Cliq iOS app. We're breaking down emoji barriers and embracing the beautiful diversity of cultures. Our latest update brings you a vibrant collection of multicultural emojis, so you can celebrate diversity and spread the love across all conversations.
Replay recordings:
We've added a touch of magic to the Cliq TV app. Now, all your meetings will be synchronized automatically in the TV app, and available to play on the big screen. With a flick of the remote, you can access and play them directly from the TV app. It's like having your very own on-demand meeting replay channel. Sit back, relax, and let the Cliq TV app bring your meetings to life again.
