The first set of updates has been rolled out for 2025. Many exciting features have been introduced to enhance usability and streamline your project management efforts while using Zoho Sprints. This quarter was focused on releasing key features like Meeting Bridge integration, Trello Import, AI integration, and layout rules, along with various important enhancements.
This set of updates provides you with the following capabilities:
- Create and apply layout rules
- Configure automated reminders
- Associate entities with OKRs
- Import data from Trello
- Add weekly logs
- Configure Meeting Bridge
- Leverage generative AI assistance
- Customize sender email address
- Use the workspace name as the domain
- Assign users groups to OKRs

Apply layout rules
With the introduction of layout rules, the customization of your work item layout is greatly improved. Using layout rules allows you to customize the item layout based on specific conditions and automate the behavior of the fields in that layout.
After the release of layout rules, additional enhancements were released to increase the number of trigger actions that are supported for a rule and cross validation of layout rules. The limit for trigger actions was raised to 200 irrespective of the number of primary conditions and subconditions. When a field value has a layout rule executed and that value meets another condition in another layout rule, the latter will also be executed.

Set up automated reminders
Automation in Zoho Sprints now equips you to set up automated reminders to be sent out on a daily basis. You can pick the users who must receive a particular notification and refine the work item-related information that needs to be shared through that email using the appropriate criteria. Your intended audience will be notified of work items every day.

You can also create a series of reminders for different sets of users and use unique criteria combinations to collate the information that needs to be delivered.
Associate entities with objectives and key results
Previously, objectives and key results (OKRs) had the capability to associate work items. Now, we've extended the same to associate projects, sprints, epics, releases, and kanban boards with the required objectives and key results. Map OKRs across different entities so that your team's progress can be tracked at various levels of a project.

Import data from Trello
If you keep your tasks on Trello, it's now easy to have them transferred to your Agile board. Zoho Sprints is equipped to import data from your Trello account. You can import the boards and cards from Trello while mapping those components with the equivalent modules and fields in Zoho Sprints. The import capability makes it easier for you and your team to adopt Agile style for your project management.

Add weekly logs
Eliminate the need to log work hours every day or add multiple logs separately. With weekly logs, you can log work hours for an entire week at one time. This allows you to add multiple time logs of different log types for select work items or users in a single window.

With the introduction of
Meeting Bridge, you have a centralized platform for third-party meeting services. This provides a list of curated services that meet your meeting-related requirements for Zoho Sprints. The following online meeting services are available:

- MS Teams meeting
Use generative AI assistance
The generative AI options assist you with content and code suggestions for your prompts. The following AI tools are currently available: Zia, OpenAI, Google AI Studios, Cohere, and Anthropic.
Zia is an in-house tool that helps simplify your discussions and enhance your technical reviews. The rest of the tools are from external vendors that use API keys to authenticate them and create a safe and secure interaction to leverage their AI assistance.

Customize sender email address
Customizing your sender email address facilitates the representation of your brand or organization. Go to Workspace Settings to modify the sender email address. This is the "from" address of the email notifications sent out for your Zoho Sprints workspace. This address can be adopted only after the email verification process, which ensures that all security protocols are followed.

Verify domain for custom functions emails
Your workspace name can be used as your personal domain to send out email notifications using the sendmail task in custom functions. The Settings configuration section includes the domain verification process that helps authenticate your new domain. Following authentication, all notifications executed through the sendmail task will have the workspace name as domain.

Copy comment URL
You can now copy the comment URL and use it to share the comment with other users via comments, feed posts, or chat groups. You can also access the comment directly from the item details page using the link.
Assign user groups to OKRs
By associating user groups to OKRs, you can now classify and track progress across different departments or teams. The Select User Groups field allows you to easily assign specific groups of users to the relevant OKRs.
