Small bug when opening new browser window for view

Payment option in Zoho creator

Create DB with import Data error
hi when i try to create a new application with import data (xls, csv) nothing is happen, just on the bottom right "error on page" . I think that my "formula" field with "date & time" is not compatible. see print screen can you help me please ? regards john

I just tried pasting in an .xls file, and not only did it treat it like a .csv file, but all 3 times I've tried this with differently formatted files, the first line says "Click 'Finish' when you are done" but there's no Finish button. zoho

Picture Fields
I'm having a lot of problems with pictures I can't enter because of the 255 char limit for all of the fields contained in the picture field. Is there any way you can make it larger? I had to eliminate the "title" field completely and often have to shorten the alt text, but sometimes the only way I can get around it is to steal a copy of the image and store it in one of my directories instead of it's original source in order to be able to use it. Creator Limits / Restrictions
I've looked through several FAQs but can't find these 1. what are the limits and restrictions on databases created with Creator? How many records? size of file uploads? total storage? 2. If I have a database that only I can add records to, but which is available for searching by the general public, is that going to be one of the types of apps that will require a "business" license when that goes into effect? or would it be in the free user category?

Dyamically populate Customer Name
I'm building a work order application and wish to assign new workorders from the "workorder" to a specific customer record. I've created the customer form and I know i can use a lookup field to populate a drop down however. The drop down only displays a single field of the customer record and with so many customers its impossible to tell when the right one is selected. Can anyone help please?

i was trying to create an application where EmailIDs are to be stored and processed. It was working fine UNTIL someone wanted to enter an id that goes something like studentNNN@IndiaUniv.ac.in [ obviously, both studentNNN and IndiaUniv are fictitious, but the ac.in IS a valid suffix !!] this was not acceptable and i had to change the field to type single text line which works but is not a very happy solution. would appreciate a fix

Help with e-mail field data
The creator very easily e-mails the data from the form by simply checking the box "include form data" within the sendmail command of the form actions. However, I want to be able to do this in other sendmail actions for various field entries. Simply writing "input.formdata" doesn't work. I have played around with typing "input.name" or whatever field data I want in to a sendmail action (which does send the data, but in a very condensed and unappealing way. I'm sorry that i'm such a newb.
Is there an alternate Email Field option
I have added a column to my database as an email field, but since some of the values are long email addresses it is causing a dispaly issue for me. I am using a subframe to display the records and because of limited real estate it can cause other columns to get pushed. It there a way like the URL field where I can have a display name pointing to the actual email address which is hidden. For example: the column would show "Email Me" and the actual email address would be "EmailMe.TampaBay@rRoadRunner.com"

Confirmation of submission - more than a flash?
Is it possible that the submit function could generate more than just a flash of a message to confirm data has been submitted? I am receiving complaints from users that all they see is a blank form after they submit their info. How about a new page that contains the confirmation message and stays up for more than a second? If this capability is already available would appreciate a heads up from somebody. Otherwise I am very pleased with this technology. revlry
Limiting the number of records that display in an embedded v
Right now, if I have, say, 50 records selected while displaying a view, and I open "More Actions" and select "Embed in your website," whether I select Javascript or iframe, when I insert the code on my site it still shows 100 records. Yes, I know the user can then choose to see more or less, but I want to only display 50 at a time, and I'm hoping that can be one of the options in the dialog when you're creating your "embedding" code. zoho

Hi, The users for my form "OV-scouts fryslan bus" very often use the Enter key when they have finished entering a value in a field and want to go the next field. As average- or below-average computer users, they are not always aware of the useful function of the Tab key. Unfortunately, Zoho automatically tries to Submit the entire form when Enter is pressed. 1) I can't get this to allow for 105 fields in a form- it crashes each time I do that. 2) it hangs when I try to add a picklist from another form into the first main form. 30 I can't find anywhere info on chaining forms together, eg form1 to form 2 to form3, etc and a final form which saves all data. it needs to reference the same record Id or IDnumber in all forms. bryanb

Hello, I have a form with a lot of different stuff on it. So when i export for example a pdf file of the entries the text is very small and the pdf is very "long" Is there any way I can get it in two pages instead of one? So half of it is on one page and the other half on another page? efspilot

ADD AND DELETE VIEW NOT WORKING
I deleted an entire view in "Edit this Application", and it edit mode that view is gone. But when I click "Access this application", the tab is still present. I also added a new view in edit mode, where it appears. But when I access the application, the new tab is not present. I have closed and reopened Zoho Creator but to no avail; the new view is still missing and the deleted view is still present. sabreean

Hi. I noticed on all my views there is a "View summary" clickable field in the first column of the view. Is there a way to disable showing this because when you embed the view into an Iframe, clicking this field does not look good. So I have instead added a url in the formula field to open the summery in a new window. But the "View summary" field is still shown in the first column. Any help, much appreciated. Thanks.
CSVRPC API Returns HTML
If you hit /api/csv/read/apikey=&ticket=, you will get "CSV" back that contains html bold tags and html line breaks. This makes it impossible to parse without first stripping out the bold tags and replacing the html breaks with newlines. Shouldn't this just return a plaintext format with only newlines and commas? hi when I change the "no of columns displayed", I can see anyway my "effort time" in the view when I make an edit on this entry (it's a number field) thats just what I want to hide !! I need this number field in the form for any user of my group but not for external user they can see only views. what can I do :?:
Errors on file upload in multiple form submit
Hello I have a form with a file upload field made for uploading images. When I submit data more than one time in a row (with different data and files uploaded each time) without going to another form or another view, all the records submitted have the same file uploaded (the first one). I can't access the other uploaded files in the next records. Curiously, all the other data (text fields, dropdown fields, etc) are correct for each record. Please help Roberto L. rland
