Can i include branching/skip on a set of question? Example if answer to question X is YES then go question Z if answer to question X is NO then go to question W if so, then is there a apps out there? thanks ovande

setting a date view
is it possible to set a date view criteria for, two weeks before "record date" the set up only lets me go "record date" after _________ ... but what can i put into that blank to equal two weeks. I basically want all the records to show up that have started in the last two weeks. rgranholm
can't delete words in plain text, cant input a radio choice
Hi, http://creator.zoho.com/rgranholm/form/87/edit/ on that form, i can't delete text i've put in as plain text, and i can't add a radio button option field. it lets me add it, but then no matter what, no options show up, what i try to do it in the script view, it says error "null" ... this problem has been on and off for me....whats going on? now i can't edit my app. -robert rgranholm
question about assigning number value to a checkbox
Hi, I was wondering if you can assign a number value to a checkbox option. My goal is to have a customer check off what services they'd like, and then have the cost totaled. If possible, I'd like not to show the price in the form. Refer to the application link below, my ultimate goal is this. A customer signed up for service. (√ done) I assigned a employee to the service and they are e-mailed (√ done) Have the customers service options be given a price value, added, and included in the view only.
backup data?
I love what I see. I want to move from Microsoft Access to Zoho Creator. Now my question is: how can I backup my data (not only the application script)? Pre-Sort View By Date
Is there a way to presort my view by date? I understand that visitors can sort by clicking on the little triangle next to the "Date" heading, but I'd like to present the data sorted by date right off the bat. mgetty
Editing a record
One of the defined users for my application needs to be able to edit a record to update some information. However, in the second column, where I see an Edit and Record Summary icons, he only sees a Record Summary icon. As a result, he can't edit the record. Why is this? What can we do to allow him to edit records? kurt

is there a way to enable a filter to show if "any data" is put it. I want to set a filter so if someone puts anything into a field, it will be displayed. is there an anything character? like * for most other data forms...it doesnt seem to work here. rgranholm
How Can We Do This???
We would like the users of our Zoho Creator application to: a) Create their individual user accounts via SELF REGISTRATION (name, address, email, password emailed , etc.) c) Allow individual user to add / edit / delete the records they have created WITHOUT having the ability to change other user records. d) Have the system sent automatic email using OUR domain name to registered users when certain data fields in the form match. How can we do that? Has anyone done this?
sign in on embedded page?
I am new to ZOHO, so perhaps I don't understand how it's supposed to work. But I thought when I embedded my ZOHO Creator script in my HTML, that ANY visitor to my page would see the form I created. Currently, what they see is a sign-in form. Is that because I made my script "private"? Thanks. David Huston dhuston

error in data display
please help. I have this application where i have input lots of my data. There is a tab : which is a form thru which data is inputted. There is another tab/form : which is the list form, in which the entire data can be seen in table format. Till now the list form was working fine. Suddenly the data has stopped coming up in the list form. No table, nothing comes up in the list form. The data is still there though, which is evident from the fact that, the data is seen in other forms of my application.
Date order inconsistency
Hi, the new look takes some getting used to but i think i'll come to appreciate it. However, there seems to be a new bug. When I want to add a date in a date field, the prescribed format is dd-mmm-yyyy (I'm in the Netherlands). But when I enter a date in that format such as today 13-6-2007, ZoHo asks for a valid date. When I switch to 6-13-2007, it accepts my entry. wytzeschouten

As a writer, I work with standard parameters e.g. font and size, number of chars per line, margin with. How do I set all these parameters once and make it a default?

I read that it simply evaluates an expression, but I've tried: NameLast + ", " + NameFirst $NameLast + $ NameFirst this.NameLast + this.NameFirst et cetera (with and without spaces) but nothing is displayed in the resulting (formula) field. dagnew
Sharing access to Creator
Terrific application! I have a problem with controlling access, though... I have an application which I want to keep PRIVATE, but want to allow certain users access to enter/modify data (but not edit the script). How do I do this? I have tried through "Manage Users/Groups" but don't understand how this restricts access to my private application. I figure that they use their email as the username, but what do they use as the password? kevinmurray

Hi! I love ZoHo and especially the spreadsheet view where I can edit things so easily. One thing seems impractical: when I click on a droplist field, I would expect the droplist to appear (and the focus to go to the first item in the list). Instead, I first have to type a letter for the droplist to appear; then I have to click on the drop sign to dropdown the list. wytzeschouten

I have another of those questions that seems as though it should have been answered, but cannot find it. I want to display information contained in a Zoho DB on a web page (a schedule in this instance) so that people can see it, but not edit it. That seems as though it ought to be possible, but I don't understand how - maybe a "public" DB? Thanks
Error while fetching the data.
This afternoon my application was working fine. Now my views are returning nothing, and are just presenting a message "Error while fetching the data". What's up? Is my Guest Tracker app in the process of being moved to the grid or something?

Display in Summmary Mode
Hi guys! I am new to zoho but I'm loving every minute of discovering it! Great work! For now I have a problem with the display in summary view. In the EDIT GUI I selected SUMMARY DISPLAY TYPE and I need to show only one record per row but it seems that I can not modify that because it goes back to 2 records per row and that is how it displays them. Is it something I miss? Thanks
Mail on Creator20 does not work
In one of your reply, you mentioned that you have fixed the problem with email -- something to do with cross domain. Is the fix for Creator 1.0 or also for 2.0? I tried in 2.0 without any success. It always say "invalid email address". I have tried email address from form field and hard coded string with quotes -- both of them failed. Please help.
on submit form email fields
When my form is successfully submitted I want an email sent to the user. i want the email to go to the email address that the user fills in in my email field. how do i write that into the on submit script so that it will pull that email address for each record submitted and send that person an email. The way it seems to be working now i have to go in and type in an actual email address. cant i just put in the to: line that field name and have it generate the emal automatically to whatever was input
Privacy
I am putting together a form for my students to fill out monthly. If they have changes to their address, work or school, I'd like them to be able to view their information and make changes but keep the other student's information hidden. I'd also like to make the tabs a part of the same form. juliemanker
On click
I have a field that is a decision box. When it is selected three more fields "show" to capture info related to that first field. They only show up when I click the decision box and then click somewhere else on the form. Is there a way to make them show right when the field is clicked?

Default values needed only for create
Currently default values set up for different form fields (using the On Load script), are also showing up when editing a record (overwriting actual values existing on the record. Would be great if there is a way to turn off default values for edit mode. tarang
Entering data & amending checkboxes
Please advise: 1. In a checkbox field which can accept more than one value, why does bulk edits destroy any previous data in that field - how can you append data to the field in bulk edits? 2. When adding choices in a checkbox field, why does it destroy all the data in the field? How can I set it up not to if I want to add more choices to the checkboxes in future? Creator - loss of data after editing pick list
I created a database with a pick-list field. As I entered data, I would think of new things to add to the pick list, so I would edit the pick list to add more options. When I return to the database, I find that the fields that used the pick list are now empty. This is a serious problem; it means I have to re-enter all data in that field if I ever edit the pick list. Is there a fix or workaround? b_hagerty
