hi all, i am not able upload dataset from upload tool, but if i do it manually then it gets imported in zoho. error is : exceed the maximum lenght maximun allowed column length is 100. what is the solution to upload it throught zoho upload tool.

Security for shared graph
Hi, I am planning to use graphs in a intranet environment. My challenge is security. I have the same graph, that I want to show to different users. But the users have different departements, and must not have access to data outside their departement (depId=x). But since there at 10 departements I would like to maintain the graphs only once in Zoho Reports. So, I can use filters to achieve this, by passing parameters to the iframe. Cannot Change a Column to Lookup Column because it is used in report or query
Hi By mistake I removed a Lookup Column from one of the columns in my table and now I cannot add it back since I get an error message saying that the column in question is used in XYZ report. How can I resolve this situation? No information changed in any of the tables, and the table in question is used in a lot of queries and reports, so it is not feasible to delete and then recreate all of them. any help is appreciated. regards TJ
Problem With Viewers Being Able to Edit Public View
I am having a problem with the public view of my database. The edit options are available to ANYONE viewing the form EVEN when I am logged out of my Zoho account. It wasn't like this when I first embedded the view or for several months following. I just noticed this within the past few days. I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. HELP!

Hi, Is it possible to upload data from multiple inhouse databases (from single sql instance) into multiple zoho reports databases? i.e. my SQL 2005 server has 5 different databases with same database structure. These reside on the same machine. I want to upload data from these 5 databases into respective databases in Zoho reports. How do I sort a bar chart x order by y value?
I have a table of invoices with customer name and invoice payment information. I created a chart showing average payment time for each customer. Currently, the x axis is sorted by customer name, but I want it to be sorted by the average payment time (so that customers who take a long time are on the left and customers who pay quickly are on the right). The pivot table feature has sorting, which is nice, but I can't figure out how to do sorting in the chart. Any help would be appreciated.
Ascending Sort on Y-Axis?
I want to be able to chart Rankings, with ranking #1 being at the top of the Y-Axis and ranking #10 at the bottom of the Y-Axis. Currently, the Y-axis auto sorts descending from top to bottom. Is there anyway to reverse the sort? The only way I am able to plot rankings over time is with #1 at the bottom of the chart and that is not very intuitive. Thanks!

Import errors reformatting text as numbers/dates/times
Hi, Hope you can help. Recently when importing an XLS spreadsheet into Reports, i have noticed that text columns that START with a number are interpreted as numbers/dates/times by Reports. e.g. the original text "3AM" results in 03:00:00 appearing in the column even though both the original spreadsheet AND the Zoho import settings are for the column to regrad the content as text. This has only started happening recently; previously the data was imported OK. Many thanks D

I am importing CSV data from a Zoho Form to Zoho Reports. I found that any text field with double quotes is not properly imported into Zoho Reports. Can you fix this bug?

Hi, I find Zoho's reporting capabilities very limiting and I'd like to be able to export data into excel so I can manipulate it more easily. However there seems to be a limitation to exporting only 2000 lines at a time. Is there a workaround for this? I'm looking for a way to export an entire report in one click. Thanks, Anokhee

Hi, I have a query table that consolidates several tables. I need to make a calculation based on all the data grouped in the query table. It seems I can not link a query table to a new table and then add a custom formula field. I can not add a custom formula in the query table too. Any advice? Thanks.
Click to see the data option in embedded report does not always appear
Hello Users have reported that on viewing a Zoho report embedded in a web page, they cannot always see the 'click to see the data' option. I have tested this report in design view and I can indeed view the data behind any of these data points. I have also tested it in IE8 and it seems fine there but however I cannot see the option in Chrome at all. Can you point me in the right direction as to what I can check? Regards, Sandra.

Totals with Tables themselves
I've created a table to monitor service usage of our company. A client buys a set number of hours of service and then as they use the service, we "debit" the account. I have a "Hours Purchased" and "Hours Used" column, along with a formula column for "Balance" that subtracts Used from Purchased. In using a pivot table report, I can obtain totals and grand totals. Hi, I am importing data from Zoho Creator to Zoho Reports. When I refetch the data, I have it configured so that it updates records already there and adds in new records. The problem is, when I refetch the data, it is adding in both new and old records (ie I have 4 records, one was added, I now have 9). is there something I am doing wrong Kind Regards

Export Default to Visible Columns Only?
I have a query table that aggregates data from several different table. I wish to create multiple reports from this table with different fields visible for different reports. I want to hide different columns in the various reports and then want to be able to export them as PDF's, but I don't want to have to re-check which columns I want to export each time I run the report. Uploadtool script does not stop
I am testing the UploadFromDB.sh from a MySQL database, but I cannot get it running. I have: installed the tool configured database access added jdbc file Is there some FreeBSD problem? I had to replace the JRE since the one you have bundled does not support FreeBSD, and suspecting that that might the problem but not sure. Difference of two numbers in same column. Place Dif. in Column next to First Number.
I am not the best in Sql functions. I just can't get this figured out. I am trying to find how to get the difference of two numbers in the same Col. and place it in the column next to first number. For example: take 3225 - 3222 then Put 3 in SubT Row 1 Then Next row ..3222 - 3219 place 3 in Subtotal Row 2 etc The dif is not always 3, I just inserted these numbers. I would appreciate any help. iGoogle Gadget full width?
Is it possible to get the Zoho Reports iGoogle gadget to go full width instead of a little box, where my charts do not fit? Also when I try to resize it clicking the maximize icon on top right the chart is still small and not stretched. Makes it pretty useless right now. Hope there is a better solution to this.
Two tables with one chart, does not work
So I am trying to create a very simple sales, cost chart with two lines. I have one table for sales and it looks like this: I have one table for costs that look like this: Notice how the "Total costs" are calculated using a formula column. Both tables are joined using lookup column for the column "Project". When I try to add this into a chart I get two dots like this: But it should be two lines on a timestamp. How to fix?

Shared Users Import data
Hi I have a db which I have shared to another Zoho user. I want him to be able to add data to one of the tables using 'Import' I have given him read/write priveleges for that table. However when he open the table the Import button is greyed out and cannot be executed. Is there a way of enabling him to import data into this table under his log in? Thanks.
