subforms
when I create a subform for a parent_form, I call it child_form. One record from the parent_form is linked to multiple child_form records. So the linkage between the two forms should be in an "associate form" ,right? Where do I find the information about this associate form? Second, for the child_form, can I create a lookup field called "parent_form_id", and have the field auto-populated, non-changeable, with the parent_form ID field value for the parent_form record being updated? Deleting entry with a field, possible?
Hello, I have a barcode scanner and I'm creating some entries in the database with it. Is it possible to make a field where you can delete the original entry when you enter the same barcode. For example I have "7012345" entry in the database. And i go to "Remove barcode" field and write the same "7012345" number and it deletes the entry from the database, so I don't have to go and select the "7012345" entry and click delete. Make your HTML views (appear to) load more quickly
Just a small trick I discovered the other day... When you embed a view into an HTML view you get a piece of code that looks something like: <div elName='zc-component' viewLinkName='My_View' params='zc_Header=true'>Loading View...</div> In this case, when the user loads up the page, they'll see 'Loading View...' for a second or so, then the view itself will pop onto the page once it's been fetched from the Zoho servers. Hi, anyone know a on input/script to automatically insert slash to separate dd mm yy. I explain, I need facilitate the life of the user and transform a date inserted as a number like 010212 in 01/02/12. 'Duplicate' record button in Grid View
There doesn't seem to be a 'duplicate' button when viewing in Grid View, the 'duplicate' button only appears in List View. For my app, I sometimes need to duplicate records very often and change some fields for each duplicated record. Normally, what I've done is to select the record in List View, click duplicate record, then manually edit each duplicated record. Ideally, if I could duplicate the records while in Grid View, I wouldn't have to manually open up each duplicated record to edit the fields,

Why wont the following form view criteria restricted records work? Date_Collected is formatted to zoho time field. ((Date_Collected < 'zoho.currenttime')) So in my head this should stop all jobs that have been collected from displaying in the jobs view. Thanks Nigel

I set up a paypal payment through zoho creator and would like the info (conditional to choice made in a drop down box) and payment amount automatically entered to a zoho docs spreadsheet that is embedded in a private page so customers can see their balance in real time as payments come in. How do I create a keyword list based on user input?
I need to be able to have a list of all keywords that have been entered popup so people can choose from existing keywords, or add their own, the way Google blog does. How do I do this? Enabling editable fields
I have a table with a lot of columns, and I choose to fill out the data by constructing views with many of these columns filtered out. I would like to be able to be able to click "edit" and only have those fields that are visible on the view be editable in the form. Instead, to accomplish this, I have to change the "disabled" and "hidden" fields in the script. This becomes unmanageable quickly. Login for users - basic question
Hello, My company is looking to use Zoho creator to collect sales reports. I've created the necessary form, but I am wondering if each sales person can only have access to their specific sales reports and not every else's. In other words, when one of our sales reps logs in, I want the form to know it's them and only show them their reports in the spreadsheet view, but have managers able to access everyones reports within the company. Could someone please create an example so we can grasp the idea of mail merge in Zoho Creator. I have a for with Name, Address, Telephone No and Email. I have a form with a multi line field that I want to include a mail merge so each email is personalised with the name and address.
