Changing a potentials primary contact
Our lead had a contact, but there is actually another person I need to deal with now that it has been converted to a potential. How do I change the primary contact for a potential?
Tasks not assigned to leads or contacts
Hi, Unfortunately I'm having a recurring issue when I look at my call list. It shows some calls and tasks as not being assigned to anyone. So I know I need to make a call but have no contact. Setting up multi-tiered accounts, contacts and leads
I'm just getting started and want to set up the accounts, contacts and leads correctly but don't know where to begin. Here is my dilemma: I five or six main lead threads that branch down several levels. I want to keep them all separate so I can communicate with them differenly so I don't want to throw them into the same category. Ex.Government Main category (account?) Subject speaks for itself. I have an email template that is sent out to various people when we have a new potential asking for a quote. I want to include a number of fields in this email, some are text, some integer and some picklists. Is this possible?

My contacts are not listed under my companies
Hello, I created a custom field called company when I imported my 60,000+ contacts and so they did not go into the "companies name" field. Now when I click on a company under the companies tab, there are no contacts associated with any contacts. Is there a way to fix this without having to manually enter the "companies name" in all 60,000 contacts? I need "company" to equal "companies name" in the contact view. Please Help!
Can I keep lead after converting to a prospect?
Is there a way to keep a lead intact after converting to a prospect? I need this because I import 1,000+ leads at a time and I don't want to import the lead if it's already in my crm. I assume that the "skip duplicates" on the import lead screen will only look for Leads that are currently in my crm and not look for Prospects? Is the only way to get around this is to clone a lead and then convert one of those leads?
Lead conversion
We are a start up company and new to Zoho CRM, but have entered all 5000 leads (individual people) from about 3500 financial institutions into our Zoho "Leads". Of those leads, we want to target 150 institutions and all of the key people working at that institution for our 2012 prospect list. We have two questions: 1 ) Is it best to pick one lead (e.g. John Smith at ABC Bank) and convert them to an account or should we make them a potential? Converting some accounts to vendors
Hi When I first set up Zoho CRM I imported all my old accounts from my old CRM (ACT!) and marked my suppliers by using the account type box. Now I want to use the Vendors tab and wonder what is the best way to convert these accounts to vendors. Will I have to export them as a .CSV file and then import it into vendors or is there and easier way? Martin

Hi, We are facing the old problem again: can't upgrade our account after downgrading. We get this error: "Tag 'insert' can't insert page '/jsp/common/PlanAccount.jsp'. Switching Between Contacts and Leads
In our business, the relationship between leads and accounts is a bit different from Zoho's system. A "lead" is not just pursued and converted to a contact/account one time. We represent multiple products and are often going back and selling new products to clients who already buy from us. We would like to easily change the status of a name from "contact" to "lead" and back again without losing any info/records or having to make duplicates. However this doesn't seem possible in Zoho. Any suggestions?
How do I relate an Invoice to the Potential that started it off?
I have quotes linked to potentials, but I would like to be able to see when I click on an invoice, which potential and which quote it came from. One account can have many potentials, invoices and quotes assigned to it, so I would like to make sure things are correctly attributed, and we can follow the trail. Is there a way to ensure that they are all connected? We generated the invoice from the quote, but there is no way to click back through to see how things have changed. Thanks Nicola

Erratic availability of email templates
I am having trouble with the email templates. I have several set-up on our free version of Zoho along with the sample one that came with Zoho. For the last week I have been experiencing sporadic results. Sometimes the only one that w ill pop up as usable is the sample one. Other times I may get one or both of the ones I have defined. Importing tasks from Outlook and associating them with Contacts/Leads
Prior to Zoho, I have been extensively using Outlook tasks to track customer interactions. Now I need to migrate all Tasks from Outlook, so that they stay associated with appropriate Contacts or Leads. Otherwise I'm losing the history of my customer interactions. I have exported Outlook's Contacts and Tasks modules into csv files. But when I try to upload Tasks to Zoho, the field Contact Name stays blank, even though I've set it to be equivalent to the "Contacts" field in Tasks (see scheenshot).

How to reset email.
My colleague created a new CRM account and then deleted himself as an admin/user. I then went in and created a separate, new CRM and put in his email address to add him as an admin/user and I received the error: " This Email address is already taken. Hi there, I can't seem to figure this out: I just want to search for the products that we have sold so I can see what product is at what customer site. I can't find any report or field within the report creator to tell it to search the Product details part of a Sales Order, Potential or Invoice. Any ideas? Logging Email When Sending Quotes or Sales Orders
If I generate a quote or a sales order and send it to the Contact using "Send Mail" under "More Actions", I would expect that the email would be logged under the Contact's Email history. But it is not. I would like for these emails to be logged, just like any other email sent to the Contact. Is there a way to do this? Thanks! Ron
Different Lead Types
I have two types of leads, buyers and sellers. I set up a set of questions (not done) for the seller leads and have yet to set up for the buyers. When I or my assistant start to fill out a lead sheet, how do we differentiate between a buyer or a seller lead and keep the two types of leads different. Also, can I scale the lead types in the future for different types of leads?
