Copying Zoho metadata to another instance of Zoho
Is there any way to copy the Zoho metadata from one instance to another. The use case is a company has sold part of its business and the new company wants to have the same Zoho setup - that is, a Zoho Clone. This is relatively easy in Salesforce but I can't find anything in the documentation that says you can do this in Zoho.
My "Convert" button disappeared!
Not sure if I changed something that affected it, but for some reason on my leads homepage there is not a button to convert them into contacts, accounts, potentials. Has anyone else found this happen to them? If so, a way to get it back? Cheers!
Quantity in Demand showing a minus number - best practice advice please
Hello When I create a sales order and then convert to an invoice, the stock inventory is handled correctly. The quantity in demand increases when the sales order is made, then when the sales order is converted to an invoice, the quantity in demand is reduced, and then the quantity in stock is reduced as well. Formula Fields to talk across modules
I love Zoho in many respects. I completely modified the plain crm system to become a full featured language school management system. None of the school management systems I evaluated cut it, so I chose to go with Zoho and it has paid off for our school. However, one feature in particular is lacking, which I feel would dramatically enhance Zoho's positioning in the market: the ability for a formula field to talk across modules. Say I create a financial field "Total Charge" in the Inventory module.
Custom View for entire organization?
Hi - I thought "CEO" level customizations are applied across the entire org. Is this not the case with Custom View? I'm trying to set My Leads and My Activities as the defaults for everyone (as opposed to All Leads/All Activities). Thx
Free version: Custom fields or not?
I activated my free CRM last night. The documentation from within my CRM instance says I get 25 custom fields: https://www.zoho.com/crm/help/erutaef321.html#custom-fields However the button to create custom fields is not available. THEN i see a post from 10 days ago where a Zoho employee is pointing another user to a COMPLETELY different set of documentation that says we get no custom fields. What's the story here? If we don't get custom fields, I won't waste my time and look for another solution

Zoho CRM auto-responder and send email features: how to determine if emails got bounced
We just started using the auto-responder and lead > more actions > send mail features. Is there a way to determine whether emails to leads bounced due to reasons such as full box, invalid user on mail server, etc.?
How do get a list of contacts that only belong to a user view?
I can't seem to extract the contacts that belong to a user view, does anyone know how? In reports there's no option for "User view" and when extracting a full backup, none of the fields mention what view that contact belongs to.
Zoho CRM, Email CUTS OFF THE SCREEN in Chrome, Explorer and FireFox
Recently I noticed a very irritating presentation issue when selecting and reading emails or when attaching Documents Direct to DropBox See Screen Shot Below. Problem with set up : organizational settings
I have just joined Zoho CRM. I am the administrator and only user. When I go into the "set up page" then "organization settings" to add my company information it comes back with an error :Insufficient Privileges to perform this operation. Contact your Administrator. Does it have anything to do with Google Apps set up? If I am the administrator and only user how do I fix this? Thanks

creating a view for activities that allows past events to not show
right now, i can't create a view in the activities section that allows for past events to stop showing up in the view. I actually have to delete the events in order for them to no longer show in the activities section and it clouds my view of tasks that I actually need to accomplish. 'new user' conflict
Hi We have 7 licenses and 6 active users. When we try to create a new user we get a message saying we need new licences. We have a new sales staff member on board who needs to use the system immediately but cannot get her installed. Problem with contacts related to the clients

We import our clients from another program and now we have 1600 clients and only 400 contacts because we didn't create the contacts in clients tabs. Products has disappeared
As of today, I can enter a product into a potential, but as soon as I press save it has gone (not saved). I cannot edit the product field from the potential page - the edit function has also gone. Is there a bug today?

A way to report on all leads for a given month
Is there a way to report on ALL leads created in one month by source. I need to include both open, closed lost and converted leads. Right now I can only see source of non converted lead and cannot find a way to add the converted leads to the same report. I'm trying to do this to gain insight into my sources of leads, volume in and disposition of each lead.

App not working

NEW LIMITATION: not allowed to change ownership of 100 records at a time!
Good morning. Today we began to receive an error message when changing the ownership in more than 50 records. The error that appears is: 414 Request-URI Too Large This is the same in several modules. We hope that Zoho has not changed the limits arbitrarily, since you don't provide a mechanism for transfering property of all records from one user to another when an employee leaves. This is a very tedious and time consumming process, and it al ready took a lof of effort changing 100 records at a time.
