Connecting to Zoho CRM Sandbox

You can also connect your CRM's sandbox when you add a new data source in the Integration field. Sandbox is a testing replica of the live Zoho CRM account. By connecting with Sandbox, you can test, validate, and iterate various business cases without affecting your CRM production data.

To connect to the sandbox, you need to choose the required sandbox while authorizing the connection as explained below.

  1. While creating a new connection, click Link New Account.

  2. You'll redirected to choose the required CRM organization where you can select the desired sandbox.

Connecting with separate environments

When using an Integration field with Zoho CRM, the Data Source linked to the Integration field must use the same authorization across all the environments. Because of this, you cannot set different authorizations for each environment (Development, Stage, or Production). This means you cannot connect CRM Sandbox with Creator development and stage environment or CRM production org to Creator's production environment. However, you can still allow environment-specific access to the Integration field using the Logged-in User authorization type.

Connecting with 'Logged-in User' authorization

A connection with Logged-in user authorization allows each user to use the connection as per their own authorization.

Datasources linked to Integration field is based on the same authorization across all environments. However, when a connection is set to logged-in user authorization, each user can authorize using their own Zoho CRM account.

For example:

  • A developer working in the Development environment can log in and authorize using the CRM Sandbox account.

  • End users in the Production environment can log in and authorize using the CRM Production Org.

This way, each environment can use the correct CRM account based on who is logging in, without requiring per-environment authorization.
