Zoho FSM offers features that will aid businesses spread across countries in managing their operations. Consider a company Zylker Inc. that offers snow removal services in Alaska, and Montana in the USA, and Quebec, and British Columbia in Canada. They would likely have to grapple with issues related to variations in currency, time zone, etc. To overcome these hurdles, Zoho FSM provides the following features that facilitate multi-region operations:
- Multi-territory support
- Multi-currency support
- Multi-time zone support
Multi-territory support
You can use
service territories in Zoho FSM to manage the service appointments, and service personnel in the different regions you operate in.
In the case of Zylker Inc., you can
create service territories for Alaska, Montana, Quebec, British Columbia and
assign users to these territories.
When you create a
service appointment, only the service resources in the territory can be assigned to work on them.
In the Gantt view of the Dispatch Console, you can filter the service resources using territories.
Multi-currency support
When you operate in different countries, you will need to use different currencies for your transactions. In Zoho FSM, apart from a base currency, you can
add other currencies as well.
Once multiple currencies are added, the option to choose the required currency will be available while creating
Contacts, and
Companies. When you create requests, work orders, etc the currency of the Contacts or Company will be used.
Multi time zone support
Besides the time zone chosen during the initial
setup, a user can choose a different time zone they work in. E.g. a user in Zylker Inc., can change the
Time Zone set for the organization to a time zone they operate in.
To change the time zone, a user has to do the following:
- Click the profile icon at the top-right corner and click My Account.
- Click Edit and change the Time zone.
By default, in the mobile app, the device time zone (Settings > General Management > Date and time > Select time zone) will be used. Users who have set a different time zone in their account will have the option to switch time zones. From the left menu of the mobile app, select Settings and select the time zone you want to work in from under Timezone settings.
