In this article, we'll explore how to view emails in Trident that you've saved in PST and EML file formats in your Mac, and the available email actions to work with them.

Note: This article explores accessing .pst and .eml emails in the Trident desktop app. Click here for the Zoho Mail web app's help documentation.
If you've set Trident as your default email client, upon double-clicking the file, it will automatically open in Trident.
If Trident is not your default email client:
Right-click the PST or EML file you want to open.
Select Open With from the menu list.
Choose Trident.
If you're migrating from Outlook or other email clients to Trident, you can easily access your locally stored email archives by importing the PST/EML files directly in Trident. This does not impact your cloud mailbox storage.

Notes:
Replying to, forwarding, or editing an email from an imported file opens a new compose window. The action is not linked to the original message thread. All sent emails are stored in the Sent folder of your primary email account.
When you delete an imported email, it is permanently deleted from both Trident and the original PST file and the extracted EML folder on your Mac. This cannot be undone.
