How to add a logo to a letterhead in Writer

Overview  

Logos are typically placed in the header area of a document so they appear consistently across pages. Zoho Writer allows you to insert, position, and style a logo directly within the header.

Prerequisites  

  1. The logo file should be saved on your device or accessible through your image sources.
  2. Use a high-resolution image (PNG recommended) for best print-quality letterheads.

Steps  

  1. Double-click the header area of your document.



  2. The Header and Footer toolbar appears.
  3. From the Header and Footer tab, click Image under Insert Elements.



  4. Choose your logo file from your device or image library.
  5. Click Insert.
  6. The logo appears inside the header.
  7.  Drag any corner of the image to make it larger or smaller while maintaining proportions.
  8. Click and drag the image to position it correctly within the header.


How to edit the logo (crop, annotate, preview, arrange)  

  1. Click the Edit bar that appears beside the image to:
    1. Crop
    2. Annotate
    3. Reposition (arrange)
    4. Preview adjustments

How to access advanced image settings  

For options like opacity, image border, positioning, wrap settings,
  1. Open Image Settings from the left panel while the image is selected.

Troubleshooting  

Error/Symptom: The logo is not staying in place  
Recommended solution:
Ensure:
  1. The image is placed inside the header, not the main body.
  2. Wrap type settings are appropriate (e.g., square for margin controls).
