How to add annotations to images in Writer

Overview

Zoho Writer's annotation tools allow you to add visual cues to images within your documents. This feature is particularly useful for highlighting specific areas, providing feedback, or emphasizing details in images. 

Steps to Add Annotations to Images

  1. Insert an Image: Place your cursor where you want the image. Click on the Insert tab, select Image, and choose your preferred source (e.g., device, URL, library).

  2. Select the Image: Click on the inserted image to select it.

  3. Access Annotation Tools: Click the Annotate Image option that appears near the image or in the Image Options panel under the Edit section.

  4. Choose Annotation Type:

    • Draw: Freehand drawing to highlight areas.

    • Circle: Draw circles around specific parts.

    • Highlight: Highlight text or areas.

    • Comment: Add textual comments.






2. From the left side of the image, select Annotate Image.






3. You will be taken to the screen below. From here, you can choose how you want to annotate the image from the options on the left.
