Improved record access with the Default Access Level feature

Improved record access with the Default Access Level feature

Greetings,

I hope you're all doing well. We're excited to introduce Default Access Levels, which enable you to grant access to your peers' records when necessary.

What problem does it solve?
Organizations typically have hierarchies wherein higher-level users can access more data, while lower-level users are limited to their own records. This ensures security but can impede teamwork when peers can't access each other's records.

For example, a sales rep might need to check their teammate's record to follow up on a shared client. Standard permissions will stop them from doing so and cause delays. With the Default Access Level feature, the rep can view their peer's records with the right permissions.

How to get started with this feature
Users with admin permissions can access module-level settings to configure the Default Access Level feature and set access levels for others based on the available options.

There are four levels of access that can be granted, as shown in the image below.

Who can access this enhancement/feature?
The feature is available only to administrator-type users and is included in all editions, including trial versions.
