Online Member Visibility in Channels (Similar to WhatsApp Group Presence)

We hope you're doing well.

We’d like to request an enhancement to Zoho Cliq’s channel experience by introducing online presence indicators for channel members — similar to how WhatsApp shows how many people in a group are currently online.


🎯 Use Case:

In many team collaboration scenarios, it’s helpful to know whether there are active members online in a given channel before sending a message — especially for time-sensitive updates, urgent support issues, or team-wide coordination.

For example, WhatsApp displays “X people online” in group chats, giving a real-time sense of participation.


✅ Requested Feature:

  • Show how many members are currently online in a channel (e.g., “5 members online now”).

  • Optionally, show a list of online members when hovering or clicking.

This would improve responsiveness, help time messages effectively, and foster more dynamic communication — especially in distributed teams.
