Can't use templates

I'm trying to learn how to use the system.

In particular, I'm trying to learn what project templates are and how to use them. Can't seem to do that at all. I simply can't find any options at all in the interface for accessing/creating project templates.

So I gave up and tried to investigate Task List templates -- same idea: what are they, how/why do I use them.

I'm trying to follow the information and documentation provided here, but I'm simply not seeing the options described. As a specific example: I can create a Task List Template, but when I try to create a new Task List in my project I select "choose from template" and select one, then select a project, and the "add" button appears but is either not clickable or does nothing when I click it.

It appears that it's possible the Free account does not have access to options, either that or the documentation is horribly out of date with the current web interface -- as mentioned above, there are certain "do this then choose that" instructions in the documentation that refer to things that simply don't exist in the interface I'm seeing.

Can anyone confirm/comment on this?

Are free accounts restricted with regard to templates in some way? Or is the documentation simply wrong for many items in current version of the software?

I'm reluctant to pay for an account only to find out that it's the documentation that's wrong and features described don't in fact exist...

Task Inline Editing Enhancement
Hi All, Today, we have made an enhancement in task inline editing. In 4.0, task edit is moved in a single screen in a pop-up. We designed this in-order to make the task edit across the product to be the same. Let it be in Feeds, Tasks & My Tasks tab, Calendar & My Calendar tab, a click on the task title will open the popup and user can edit the values. Customers pointed us the inline editing was very useful to them & how much they miss that in 4.0. Based on the feedback, we have rolled out this enhancement.
