Hey all,
Today we are gonna see about the latest addition to Cliq's Admin Panel — EMM Integrations and Mobile Management!
With internet available far and wide, the usage of portable devices has risen and employees now use a host of devices in their everyday life to conduct their work. EMM abbreviated as Enterprise Mobile Management is basically an approach to secure the use of mobile devices, keeping the exchange and use of data safe and secure on those devices.
EMM in Cliq
Cliq is where your employees communicate and collaborate, and that means important files and data present in conversations needs to stay secure. You can ensure of that by integrating Cliq with your EMM service provider!
App Configurations you can deploy
By integrating Cliq with your EMM service provider, you can deploy the following app configurations for devices managed by your company.
- Login email: This will fill in the employee email id in the sign-in screen of Cliq app. They can just input their password to proceed further. (Android/iOS)
- Restrict login: This will fix and lock the employee's email id in the sign-in screen of Cliq app, thereby restricting them from using any other email id to sign in. (Android/iOS)
- Curtail downloads: You can disable downloads to ensure your organization data in Cliq is not transferred to the devices. (Android/iOS)
- Restrict external pasting: If you want your users to be able to copy files and text within the app, but not share it outside, then you can restrict external pasting! (Android/iOS)
Setting up EMM
EMM in Cliq can be configured with any of the EMM service vendors that your organization is using. To name a few, we have explained the steps to configure for top 3 EMM vendors, that you can check out here — ManageEngine MDM, MobileIron, IBM MaaS360.
No EMM? We've got you covered!
Is your organization relatively small to invest and maintain an EMM service provider? To help small businesses enjoy mobile security just like the big mammoth enterprises, Cliq offers mobile configurations that you can deploy for different user roles in your organization without the need for EMM!
In your Admin Panel, under Permissions click on Roles. Select and click on the role you want and go to Mobile section. In here, you can enable the configurations you want for your users like restricting from copying files, sending voice messages, to disabling Cliq access in jailbroken/rooted devices! Your configurations will apply to the users of that role in the mobile devices they access Cliq on.
But wait, what if you do not want your company's data accessible in any mobile devices? You can simply turn off Mobile Access under Organization > Configurations. Poof! This will block the usage of Cliq app on mobile devices for all your employees. We advise you to weigh the pros and cons of high impact decisions like these before you roll it out to your users, because no one including you will be able to access Cliq app in iOS and Android mobile devices.
Have you also checked the existing tools?
Cliq's admin panel is power packed with enterprise-centric tools and features to suit your business needs. You can disable entire Cliq modules like group chats, video calls, integrations under Configurations,
set up a full picture of your users with custom fields and structuring them into their teams and departments. You can also tailor Cliq by creating your own custom domain, adding your logo to replace the default Cliq logo, and also create a custom email address.
Added to the above tools, security and privacy are also given due importance. You can set password policies, IP address range to access Cliq and TFA. You can also configure these security policies for specific teams based on their role permissions! And while at it, don't miss to check out SAML based single sign-on and Office365 sign-in.
