Exploring the Admin Panel

Exploring the Admin Panel

Hello again, everyone!
This one's for all the organization admins out there!
What's the fun of being the admin of your organization if you don't have any powers to use?
The admin panel is where it all lies, and it can be accessed only by y'all. So, what powers do I have, you wonder? Let's break it down.

The admin panel can be found by clicking on the profile picture on the top of your Cliq page. You can manage your organization as well as all your users from here.

Dissecting the Admin Panel
Now that you've gone straight to the source, let's dive into dissecting the admin panel, shall we?
In general, the admin panel is made up of 5 categories, namely:
  • General
  • Organization
  • Permissions
  • Customisation
  • Integration

General
Under this menu, you can add:

1. Users
Under the Users tab is where you can find the list of all members of your organization. From the users tab, you can:
  • Add a new user
  • Edit their details
  • Manage their email address
  • Reset their password
  • Review their login sessions
  • Mark them as inactive
  • Delete a user
How cool is that, right? All users added will gain access to the Cliq instance of your organization and chat with anyone in your organization. In addition, they get access to all public channels.

2. Teams
Teams are generally a group of people working together for a common goal, be it a product or a project. Most of the times, employees from different departments like Development, Sales, Marketing all work together in teams on different products, like Zylcal, Zylgear.

3. Departments
A department is an entity an employee is associated with in an organization. A team however, is formed by people belonging to different departments having different designations when they have to work together for any type of project. An employee can be a part of only one department as defined by the roll but can contribute to multiple teams.

4. Designations
Designation defines the duty of an employee in an organisation. Bring the same to Cliq, your virtual office by assigning designations to your employees like Senior Software Engineer, Regional Sales Manager, etc. You can also assign designations from the 'Users' tab.
Check out:  Designations

Organization

1. Company Info
You can update your organization profile here! The company info, as the name suggests, is where the information of the organization is found. Invites sent out to external users or members of your own organization will carry the basic info that you update here making sure everyone can identify your company.

2. Zoho Directory
Zoho Directory is the one stop place to for all Admin activities of your entire Zoho account where you can manage Security Policies, Active Directory, App Usage and track Login.

3. Licensing
The details of your subscription to Zoho Cliq will be mentioned here.

Permissions

1. Roles
So you have a bunch of managers in your organization and you want them to have certain powers and control over the organization on Cliq. The "Roles" tab on Cliq enables you to do just that! What type of powers, you ask? You can give the power to your managers to be able to create or delete a command, or to be able to add or remove participants in a channel. You can edit all of this over here in the Admin Panel. A little more insight on "Roles" will be given in the forthcoming posts!

2. Policies
Every organization has a set of policies and Cliq is no exception. There are a set of 5 policies on Cliq that you can enable or disable for your members, like being able to auto-join your organization or being able to create Organization Channels without approval and more.

Customization
Everyone has their own tastes and preferences, and for an organization head, building yours to entirely your tastes would be just what it needs to give it a personal edge. You can customize:

1. Modules:
Tailor Cliq to your organization's needs by customizing the way your members can access and use modules such as starred messages, reminders, etc.

2. Themes and Assets
Customize the look of your organization on Cliq by trying out all our skins and by inserting your company logo to make your members feel at home!

3. Custom Domain:
Get Cliq to reflect your brand's name by customizing your domain which can be done from the Admin Panel  in a few easy steps.

4. Emailers:
You can configure a custom email address for notification mails that get sent from Cliq to your organization users. Having custom email ID's makes it easier to trust emails sent from Cliq as your employees can now see it as emails sent from their organization.

5. User Fields:
You can customize and edit the user fields which contains the details of a particular user and control what shows up when you view a member's profile.

Integration
Got your entire organization hooked onto Office 365 and don't really want to have a separate sign up procedure for Cliq? Not to worry because with this integration, you can login using the same credentials and manage all your applications with a single login! Try it out now!

So, there you have it! The admin panel successfully dissected. Let us know in the comments below how you liked sprucing up the look of your organization!

Cheers,
Divya V

Then, click on the three dots to open a pop up menu. Here, click on the Reply button and type the reply to the message in the compose box and press Enter.   Voila, that was pretty simple.

If a VoIP push notification is not reported to the CallKit within a designated time window, iOS will terminate the app. If enough VoIP push notifications are not
