Hi All,
I am having a problem and would like to know if anyone else has experienced the same and more than anything if you were able to resolve the problem.
My problem is that I set up Cliq and finally got all users on board and using the chat in place of email. Most of our users are external subcontracted teachers that we need to from time to time coordinate things with. Well, once Cliq became a part of Zoho One, I worried that I would then have to add all of the external users to Zoho One. Of course I did not want to do that, so I checked with both Zoho Cliq and Zoho One support teams who assured me that I could add Cliq to my organizations Zoho One and just remove the people who did not need access to other apps and that Cliq would remain as it was set up.
Here is what happened, Our whole team of internal and external users is 15. 5 of them are Zoho One Users and there was absolutely no problem with those users. The remaining 10 external users had very different results. 5 of them can Use Cliq as always and the other 5 are locked out. They see a message that tells them that the Admin. (me) revoked their access and now I have no way of adding them back.
In addition to that, when I go to the Zoho One user management section, I see 23 users in Cliq. The additional 8 are people that in the past had access to an organization email for one reason or another and now cannot be removed. We are a very small organization and this is bothersome, I can't imagine how an admin. in larger orgs. can manage with such a large number of non users just making the user list more complicated to manage.
Zoho One support has recommended removing Zoho Cliq from the Zoho One bundle, but I am not sure if I would then have to pay a fee for using it or perhaps that is a temporary solution until the user management issues in Zoho Cliq are resolved.
I really would like to know if any one else has had such problems and how they were resolved.
Regards,
George Thiess
