Many to Many relationship from Accounts to Contacts

I am really frustrated by the lack of detailed documentation on the Many to Many relationship created by the Multi-lookup field. I have watched the video several times and still can not get the data to look the way it is in the video.

What we need:
one contact can be associated to more than one account
one account can be associated to many contacts (default in the system)
one contact can be associated with more than one Contact Owner.

When more than one company is associated with a contact, each company should show the contact in the standard contact field not some arbitrary field created by the linking module.

When the contact has different emails or phone numbers for each account where are these details (a) stored and (b) automatically returned to the Account screen and Contact screen.

All of these things are spoken about as if it is automatic in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1PAKXPXI0g but that is far from the truth.
Could someone from Zoho please complete the details so that those of us who need this common relationship (many to many) can achieve it with out months of guess work.
