I’ve been using Zoho CRM since 2013 to manage leads and convert them into contacts and jobs. When I convert a lead to a customer, I create a new contact and a job. Previously, this process automatically transferred key information from the lead to the job, including fields like lead source, phone number, address, city, zip code, and email.
The field names vary slightly between the lead, contact, and job modules, but I’ve always been able to map these fields for smooth conversion.
Recently, only the lead source and email fields are converting over to the new job. When I go into the lead conversion mapping settings, most of the fields are missing from the dropdown options. For example, in the mapping interface, fields like “City” used to be available in the job dropdown but now show only “None” and “Next Step.” Oddly, “City” appears in the gate code dropdown but not in its usual place.
I’ve tried troubleshooting by reviewing field permissions, checking field names, and adjusting settings, but nothing has resolved the issue. This is causing a lot of duplicate data entry, which is quite frustrating.
