I would love to see a feature where related list information can easily be added to an email template (instead of mail merge).
I have a client who books flights for their customers. They do this through a Flights module so all booked flights can be displayed as a related list under a Contact record.
However, there is not currently an easy way to list these flights on an email.
A sub form table would do the trick, if I could select a related list.
It would also be great if there was a filter option, so that we could control what records are displayed.
For example, Fight booking status = Confirmed
This would be a great core enhancement to the email templates functionality.
I am already aware that this can be done via Mail Merge, but we really want to see the information in the text of an email.
I've done some experiments with an email template and a Custom Function to replace my custom merge tags with the required information and the results seem promising.
So I'm guess that if I can do a workaround like this, it wouldn't be too big of an ask for Zoho.
Look forward to hearing everyone's feedback and if this can be added to the roadmap?
