I am a researcher for University of Minnesota and I am developing a database to collect survey data, but it is too complex to use typical survey tools. I have prototyped using a survey tool, I will provide this below to show a very detailed outline for each form and field. You can imagine our objective as a tool to do online brainstorming (this is pretty close to reality). We recruit people online from marketplaces like Amazon Mechanical Turk. WITHOUT LOGGING IN, users begin the survey, see an intro, review training material, get randomized into trial groups, and then begin submitting as many ideas as they can. If the get stuck, they can view randomly selected help material and then continue. The data must connect users to ideas and the specific help material viewed. I need to analyze the sequence of events and take counts before/after help as well as elapsed times. The budget below is approximate. We feel we could do the work ourselves, but we hope to expedite. Our goal is to take over maintenance and revisions after the first major build. Commenting will be helpful.
